The lab is located in the UK so if you have any problems it’s a very long distance phone call
The website is not taking my barcode and it says I need to call however the company is in the United Kingdom I would like to return this cosmetic skincare DNA test or get it to work. Amazon says this product is past the November 26 deadline to return.

doesn't take into account damage already done (which a DNA test can't do...)
This test delivers what it promises, but it's information that's not entirely useful. It's certainly not as "life changing" as the item's description would make it seem. It's basically like getting a blood test done on your skin- it can give you the raw information/data on what your skin is likely to do, but it can't paint a complete picture. The test is simple and non-invasive- register your test kit (it comes with a unique code that you enter on their website along with your contact info, so they can get back to your with the results), swab the inside of your check with the included extra-long q-tips, pop them into the pre-paid postal envelope, and wait for the results to come in.The company has an image of a sample test result up above, so you can see exactly what you will be getting. This test DOES provide a lot more information than simply "guesstimating" or trial and error, but it functions a lot like an allergy test you get at the doctor's office- it can tell you what works and what doesn't, and what the *likelihood* of certain things are, but it doesn't take into account your previous sun exposure, toxin exposure (pollution, smoking, etc.), stress levels, climate/elevation of where you live, and the products you expose your skin to on a regular basis. So while it's nice to be able to have a "recipe" for skin care treatments, and some information about the likelihood of what might skin might do, it doesn't take into account what your skin has been exposed to and what is lying in wait from your past. I have years of sun exposure from distance swimming and living in Florida, and the test can't take that into account, obviously. So if my results comes back saying that my risks are low, the test isn't going to work for me because no matter how healthy my skin is supposed to be genetically, I voluntarily did quite a bit of damage to it without realizing.I hope this make sense. So while I do think this test is good because it will point you in the right direction as far as ingredients and sensitivity goes (and who hasn't wasted a ton of money on creams and serums, only to trash them a month later?) it can't tell you the whole story. This would be a great tool for people in their late teens, though- but for those of us in our 40s/50's and later who need to reverse the damage done? It's just not the magical bullet it claims to be.

This is a home DNA test kit, you use cotton swabs to vigorously swab the inside of the cheek in your mouth. It is very easy to do and you pop it in the mail. It took exactly 8 weeks between mailing time and when I receive the email that my results were ready online. You access your results online so do not lose your password. The email tells you when the result is ready so you have to opt in on their email mailing list. This is a home DNA test kit, use cotton swabs to vigorously swab the inside of the cheek in your mouth. It starts with an overview of each category that is tested and the explanation of how they use a low, standard, or optimal level to categorize your DNA within for each gene. They also explain other factors such as how your body reacts to food you eat and what that made you your skin. Finally it is in writing that glucose consumption in your food affects your skin! In my teenagers and myself I noticed a clear correlation with sugar consumption causing acne even in the teens. So acne is not always just because you’re a teen. After the general introduction, the report goes topic by topic. There are multiple genes usually that affect the issue, sometimes the genes conflict with each other which surprised me, it seems they make an average score of your cluster of genes affecting wrinkle production for example and come up with a general category to label you. if you have a standard result it repeats the same recommendation to consume vitamin C and E after consulting with your healthcare provider. If you show deficiencies and problems in an area it gives you detailed recommendations for supplements to take, such as whey protein, and professional treatments to seek such as UV light treatment or skin needling. Also I liked that they test you for skin sensitivities of different types and also fragrance sensitivities! Two genes contribute to whether a person will have an adverse reaction to fragrance in manmade products.DNA is an interesting thing and it is not always in alignment, for example I had three optimal responses on collagen and one poor. You would think that a body would have things more in alignment. I had multiple optimal responses to glocose and one poor/low this actually aligns with what my doctor has told me that I am bordering on prediabetes and optimally I should exclude sugar completely from my diet to prevent future diabetes.Since I know somethings from living my life and from medical testing done by medical doctors that correlates with the information in this report it leads me to believe that this is credible information and an accurate DNA test.Understanding the DNA is very easy with this report. It is very brief and gives you just exactly what you need to know, it is not long like a book. Although honestly it really bothered me that the editor missed the grammar issue it should be “body’s response” with an apostrophe not “bodys”. If their staff is missing basic skills with English grammar and spelling I just worry about the quality controls for handling the technicalmedical testing.I have already done a different company’s entire medical screen but the FDA is preventing that company from giving me my interpretation, after reading this I am really surprised at the level of detail which can be given for education and for lifestyle recommendations and improving health. I am shocked that the FDA is allowing this to exist. I am now curious in seeking additional services to interpret my entire body’s DNA which I have the raw data for. This was fun and interesting especially for people who really want to know about how to make their facial skin beautiful who would like to know which cosmetics and skin treatments to access. With that said I know the medi spas recommend everybody gets every service done - but this DNA report will help you figure out what you really should focus on Instead of just doing the procedure that is in trend. One more comment I was very annoyed that the minute I sent in my sample the company began sending me spam emails constantly wanting me to purchase other kits. I hadn’t even got the results back yet and these advertisements kept entering my inbox. It is over-the-top annoying. Since it took eight weeks to get my results I have received a lot of spam. After the email with the results, I have since received two spams and it has only been 24 hours since my result has been communicated. Rating 4 stars = like it. I will now go research how to get off their spam list...

Took nine weeks not 3, got junk mail every 2 weeks, but the report was good
I like the report this skin DNA test provided, however I did not like that it took 9 weeks to get the results, instead of the 3 weeks it promised. I also didn’t like that they didn’t send me a notice when the report was ready, I found out by checking weekly. They sent me 4 emails; 1 telling me my order was processed and 3 spam emails offering me discounts on other products. I took off 2 stars, 1 star because I got 2 reports from ORI3GN DNA in less time than it took to get one report here, and 1 star for sending me spam emails instead of progress notifications. ORIG3N sent no spam and prompt status notifications. The DNA report was nice though. The skin report told me my risk factors for wrinkling, skin sensitivities like allergies and reactions, pigmentation like freckles, sun protections like sun burning, as well as how I process skin antioxidants, and the quality of my collagen. It also told me the best ways to improve or manage each risk factor. Overall the report was comprehensive and detailed; just what I was looking for. I just wish they focused more on delivering the report in a timely manner, and less on upselling.
