Water thingy!
Hey! It is a timer!

Instantly ruptured!
I purchased this to add on to an existing B-Hyve network. I have several other controllers (different models, Gen 1 and 2), and I'm happy with all of them. BE AWARE: Gen 2 (including XD models) only talk to a Gen 2 WiFi hub. They will not work with a Gen 1 hub. Also, Gen 1 devices do not seem to be compatible with a Gen 2 hub! Keep all of your devices on the same generation and you'll be fine. Or, do what I did, and get a separate Gen 1 and Gen 2 hub.I want to say up front, that I purchased this product used on Amazon. However, I do not believe that was the cause of the issue. The product installed fine, and connected to the hub with no issues. Programming went flawlessly. I turned on the water to the spigot, and everything was fine. When I turned the system on to test it, the product immediately suffered an internal rupture, and began rapidly spewing water from within the housing.I can still turn the device on and off, and I hear the solenoid click. When on, some water will still make it through the device--but it's a small amount compared to what's gushing out of the device itself. This did not happen until I opened the valve, so I don't believe this was a defect that existed when the product was originally returned. All of the other B-Hyve products have been great, and wildly exceeded my expectations. This one was a dud.I'm out of my return window, but well within my warranty. I'll see if Orbit's customer service comes through, and I'll update this review if so. I've dealt with them before, though, so I'm not holding my breath.

Low WiFi signal was a problem
This was to be my second system but the wifi signal was not strong enough at the location. The battery only lasted a few days.My other system works really well but its location has a much stronger signal.

Handy “simpler” solution to irrigation systems
I used 3 of these on a 4 way hose splitter for a summer so far and they worked well for me. In the bhyve app each one is listed as another system. You don’t have the option to group multiples together into a system with multiple zones like the more permanent installed systems but once I figured that out they were a pleasure to use.

It works , but then again it doesn’t.
I had the WiFi hub and hose timer but the timer stopped working so I just bought another one. It didn’t really sync with the hub and I never got notification that the drip line watered but it did. Only thing is is that the hose timer would always say it was disconnected. It didn’t work as good as my original. I ended up returning this unit.

I have three now.
The work great. I use two to water potted plants on the deck and porch and it has kept our plants thriving. The other runs the raised beds. The smart watering is awesome and saves water by skipping if it is raining or will. I tied them in with home assistant for more control.

90205Z does work with wifi hub.
The standalone 90205Z that ships by itself does support the Bluetooth to Wi-Fi hub. I bought my hub years earlier with the flood sensor starter kit. The 1 star reviewers should have called support to figure this out. One thing to note is that I did update the firmware on Bluetooth before I connected it to the hub, so maybe there was a bug on older firmware that was causing issues. So far, the smart water scheduling is awesome! I do hope that they last, as I have an older non-smart orbit timer that has 3 bad solenoids of the 4.
