Update Feb 2020: We've had this working now for two winters in all weather conditions and it is still working as well as day 1. We are right beside the sea and the salty air has had no impact on the light at all.Once you get the position right it gets a full charge even on a cloudy winter day with only 9 hours of daylight in a day. The three settings are handy and we use it in light saving with PIR activation. We are by the sea so we will see what it looks like after the winter. If it lasts we will definitely get more of these.

Brilliant product. Extremely bright on both settings.Like others have said though , it's a heavy light and needs to be secured tightly. The battery charges well, and the solar panel works nicely in cloudy weather ...very impressive !. Very happy for the fair price paid. I can also recommend Neoldonoy solar lights (spelt wrong i think , but easy to find)...these little beauties are fantastic....super bright and very responsive. Another great buy from Amazon !.

I would love it if it works whole night in full beam

Have mounted this lamp on a four metre pole beside a gate on a single vehicle width lane. It throws a good pool of light four or five metres on either side of the gate. It is set to only illuminate when the motion detector is triggered. Unfortunately, for a person or vehicle this only happens when they are within two to three metres of the gate.After one winter the white painted mounting bracket is showing rust stains.
