Wilma Jean the Worry Machine

This was great for children who have anxieties, very friendly, but the written is American so be aware that some of the text like recess is our playtime but generally a fab little picture book.Good value and arrived the next day

Good story for children with lots of worries. I use this in my school. A nice easy story to follow.

Really useful book to read to any child or group to help them understand that it is ok and normal to be worried about things and that everyone worries.

I laughed and laughed as I read this story. Julia Cook is hilarious as always. She has taken the worry out of worrying and made us all laugh. Another hit with the kids.

The story is good but the pictures of this book from the cover to the end, absolutely scare the hell out of my daughter, Norma's face expressions are scary, and made her cry. So we no longer touch this book.

bought for my autistic daughter, she let me read it to her, which is a good sign, she has high anxiety so this is helping explain things so that she can realise life is not so scary
