FIAP Digiswim Active Wireless Pool/Pond Thermometer

This is a very neat unit, and was working well, until the batteries run out.That's when my problems started. I carefully broke the seal by undoing all the screws, then replaced the batteries.After several days, everything stopped working. Water had got into the unit. I tried again, but the seal would not keep water out.This unit was still under warranty, but I couldn't find the Amazon receipt.

I have owned two of these. Both failed. Both developed condensation inside the visible display at the top of the thermometer, making the reading on the thermometer itself totally illegible. Then both leaked and allowed water into the battery compartment, short circuiting the connections and rendering the product totally useless.It seems to be OK until you replace the batteries for the first time. But once you break the seal, you've had it!This unit is faulty by design and unfit for purpose, I'm afraid.

I have had 3 of these now, the first two pond sensors filled with water/condensation and effectively drowned themselves and as such, then failed to transmit the signal to the base unit indoors - they were returned and replaced.The third seems to be working O.K and has so far, outlasted the other units, so fingers crossed we have something that actually is going to work/last!Latest update, the fourth has now failed, so unfit for purpose!!!

I love it. This product is very affordable, made from good material, well-built, and does the job as advertised.Highly recommended.

simply the pool transponder seals are useless - allowed ingress of water rendering unit u/s. do not buy - you may be as disappointed as i am !!

Pity I cant give no stars. The product worked physically for about 6 months. However, it is a flawed concept as it gives the temperature at the top of the pond which fluctuates with the heat of the day and so is of no practical use.More importantly, I notices that moisture was getting into the floating thermometer and a few weeks later I could not find it. After that it stooped working.Dont know where it went but assume that it sank and since my pond is large and over 6 feet deep I am not looking for it.

Der Kauf ist leider nicht zu empfehlen. Der Schwimmer ist mit einem zu dünnen Dichtring ausgestattet, so dass der Schwimmer nicht dicht wird und Wasser eindringt. Die Batterien werden nass und das Display sowie die ganze Technik in dem Schwimmer wird nass. Das Wasser dringt bis zum Display vor, welches total verschraubt im hinteren Teil unter dem Sichtfenster ist. Es kann nicht getrocknet werden, da man den ganzen Sender(Schwimmer) auseinander nehmen müsste. Selbst die Platine stand unter Wasser.

Außen- und Innenteil funktionieren einwandfrei. Außenteil ist in meinem Koiteich und liefert zuverlässig die Wassertemperatur in 10 cm Tiefe. Die Batterien halten wirklich lange
