It really works! I don't need to boil my water but I do use water from my filtered pitcher. I've made 5 batches now (4 cubes per batch, 2 cubic and 2 round). All are perfect. I remember seeing the instructions for building a similar device on the web but this is way more convenient and less bulky. I now have 20 cubes in the freezer and 4 more going in next. The holidays are covered. If you know anyone that loves clear ice this would make a great gift.

The mold is easy enough to fill and separate. The silicone has a good balance of flexibility and structure, so you can pop the cubes out without deforming the whole tray. The cubes are larger than standard ice tray cubes, and they melt more slowly, which is perfect for whiskey or mixed drinks where you do not want the flavor watered down too fast. The only minor note is that the mold takes up more room in the freezer than a basic tray, but the result is worth it.

Very straightforward and easy to use! Ice came out clear. I ordered the combination, cubes and spheres. The cubes are very large. Make sure to purchase glasses that have a wider opening to fit the 2X2 cubes. I give it 4 stars, because I did not see the cube size listed in the details. Other than that, I think this is a great product.

I am actually pleasantly surprised at how well this product works. The ice comes through clear and is high quality. It can take a moment to get the ice from the bottom of the container out. But for an individual, I think this product works extremely well. It does use a fair chunk of freezer space.

I bought this icemaker to make squares and circle ice cubes for my old fashions. This product makes it super easy and it’s the first one I’ve seen that actually makes clear ice cubes.

This makes fantastic craft ice, that I use for my different cocktails!

I really like the device. It makes nice round ice balls. When I want them to look extra-nice, I'll use some tongs and warm water to remove the seams, and use the stamp to remove the buttons. Cubes are a bit too big for my glasses though. If you temper them before pouring, it looks really pretty in the glass. My complaint is that it has cracked from normal use. The fill line on one chamber acted as a perforation, and it split. I can't use that side now, and this was very expensive for what it does. I've reached out to Berlinzo and am hopeful they'll rectify the situation, since I'd like to keep using it.

We were skeptical, but this works great. We follow the directions of boiling water and allowing it to cool to 100 degrees and have perfect results. The balls melt a little more quickly than the cubes, but still lasted longer than my old fashioned!
