Great for Airbag Compressors on Classic Cars
I've installed this on two different classic cars that have air rides. I needed it to isolate the compressors from the ignition, so that I can control when they compressors engage. Before I got this, the compressors would come on when the key was turned, but before the car was started. That is a problem as it pulls tons of juice to the compressors, and on a rough start there wouldn't be enough juice to get the car running. Now I can turn off the compressors, start the car, then turn them on once the car has had a minute or two to run. Also, I can turn off the compressors while I'm driving around if I don't need air in the tank for the moment.

used as a clutch switch bypass
So far this switch has worked well for me. YMMV.Used this to replace the clutch interlock switch for starting a 1993 Mazda Miata with high miles, so that when starting you don't have to push the clutch in (MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN NEUTRAL FIRST). This is because pushing in the clutch pushes on plane perpendicular to the engine crank bearings and with no oil moving on startup over time, this can cause bearing failure (high mileage).**DO THIS MOD AT YOUR OWN RISK**To do this mod: unplugged the clutch switch from connector, attained the appropriate size connectors for the main harness and for this switch, soldered up two lengths of wires to the connectors, used an existing switch blank space on the miata dash (i don't have cruise control) to locate the switch (modified the blank space plug to hold the switch inconspicuously), connected it all up and its good to go. You don't have to remove the factory interlock switch. This mod could work for other manual transmission vehicles that have clutch interlock switches but check your switch wattage requirements and any state laws first.

Questionable
These will come apart on you. It's not uncommon as this is why I had ordered these two. The first lasted about 6 moths, the second was DOA, no use. I use these in the pickup to activate our feed trailer to feed cattle. The back will pop out over time and parts (5 I believe) will fall to the floor. My remedy in the past when sometimes successfully rebuilding these is to clamp the back metal holder tighter together. You'll know by looking. Anyway, that said, I ordered two more. Going to try and "fall apart proof" them.

Don't always expect the switch to tighten as it suppose to.
The switch itself is as expected. It will work satisfactory, but the problem with these switches is the quality of threads on the installation shaft and the locking nut that is suppose to tighten the switch into position. The threads are not made to fit very well and are prone to strip or cross thread. This is not the first time I encountered this type of problem. It is common on many small switches, etc that I use. The remedy for this is to re-thread the shaft with a smaller thread thus cutting deeper into the shaft and creating a thread that will hold. In this case I had to re-thread the shaft to a 1/2 n.f. and use a different nut. Problem solved.

Great replacement switch for my grill.
Great little momentary switch. I used this to replace a switch on a grill igniter. Be aware that this switch requires a 1/2” mounting hole. I bought connectors at my home improvement store to connect it to the igniter. Works like a charm. I read another review that you need to apply a fair amount of pressure to switch on, but I did not feel that way. Highly recommended. The OEM part was over $40 so this feels like a great deal.

it was a good fit and easy to wire up
the switch fit into my control panel, just like the factory switch. the only complaint I have is that the light is not very bright. on a bright sunny day you cannot see the light unless you block the sunlight with your hand. on overcast days and of course at night the light shows up well enough.

Doesn't stick
So much happier with this button than my previous one. I use this button to activate the air horn on my work vehicle. The one I had installed previously would sometimes get stuck. It would be so embarrassing when you were just trying to give someone a quick toot, but instead, they would get several seconds of angry air horn until I could get the button unstuck.

Poorly constructed, rusted after 2 months
I used this to replace the corroded horn button on my boat. The screws that mount the terminals are seated into a plastic hole which doesn't have a threaded metal sleeve. They immediately stripped out so I had to use some slightly larger stainless screws. In hindsight, I should have purchased a more expensive, better made unit but it does work.Edit - After two months of being on my boat the unit is all rusted. I'll be throwing in the garbage where it belongs, and replacing with a proper marine grade button. I would just avoid purchasing this for any outdoor application.
