It’s hard
Like many reviewers here, I did this when I was much younger from an old video. I remember it as being relatively not too difficult, with some exercises harder than others. My tv and video in those days was placed on a quite low table which doubled quite well as a barre. Now this is the main problem. They use a barre with mirrors - for me, I’m trying to hold on to anything whilst trying to see what she is doing and get into position. It’s quite hard. And at times I wasn’t sure I was doing it right. Next time I’ll try different furniture. Maybe use a different room. You need more space than you’d think.As an older me now, (despite being quite flexible and fit) - I found it FAR harder than years ago. It’s really difficult doing 100 reps of something when you are not totally sure you’re doing it right and when you are in a slightly different position to her due to furniture and possibly body, limitations. And the exercises are devilishly hard! Don’t be fooled by the ‘tiny’ movements and the funny leotards, this is hard, but I recall it being extremely good all those years ago. And people still swear by it. And her pupils look fantastic. So I’ll persevere. I’ve started with hips and behind. It’s legs tomorrow …

Triple Slow Motion
I first started doing Callanetics in the 80's as a no-impact exercise plan to protect very weak joints. Even when I didn't follow it weekly, if I wanted to tone up quickly to fit into that little black dress, this was my video of choice. Having then exchanged this for the gym and a variety of high impact cardio workouts (which I also love), I've recently returned to this DVD following injuries and, in particular, sciatica. Within 3 days of following this DVD my posture was straighter and my core felt stronger. I've tried Pilates, Yoga and Yogalates, all of which I love, but I find Callanetics works better for me. If you put the effort in, as it can be very tough to start with, you will definitely see the difference in your body, quicker than any other exercise plan out there. The exercises are very easy to remember, if not necessarily easy to do. As long as you do everything in 'triple slow motion' you wil benefit and these can be done anywhere.On the downside, I would say the DVD looks very dated, the music is too plinky and even after 20 years, I still find that Callan's presentation style is very annoying. Therefore, once you follow this a few times and learn the moves, you won't actually need to view the DVD while doing it.It is worth the effort of those first few sessions where you can't even raise your legs or keep up with the amount of repitions. Keep trying, take breathers and you will get there.

Quick Callanetics
I had these books for years and they were great, but after lending them to someone I never got them back. These exercises really worked for me. DVD is even better as you can do them at the same time as the instructor instead of balancing the book open at the right page!

An effective classic
Good old 90ies fitness. I bought this DVD because I used it 10 year ago and remember having a very good impression of it.These are ideal living room excercises: not much space needed, no loud music or jumping. Video contains 0 cardio, 70% deep muscle strenghtening and power exercise, 30% stretching.The exercises work deep in your muscles and you do feel and see results, even already after the fist session. Do not expect weight loss - you do get muscle toning and posture improvement.

Quick Callanetics (Stomach-Hips&Behind)
Received this book yesterday and had my first exercises (which I enjoyed very much) this morning. I bought her book many years ago which I gave to a friend who said she needed it more than I did! I have always been aKeep-fit fanatic so when I saw it in DVD form decided to have it as I no longer go to the Health Club.

Pretty much a few short of the original
I have the original Callanetics and bought this thinking there were different exercises in it but its just really a shorter version of the original. But still worth getting for those who don't have the original as this exercise give you results that last and FAST!
