This is a wonderful book with pages edged in silver, and with a silver ribbon bookmark. At first you just see stunning photographs but gradually realise that the dolls show more than first thought. Some bear the marks of domestic violence or show other dark sides of life. Others are dressed as characters from stories or folklore. All of them are beautiful and all of them have a tremendous air of fragility and vulnerability - if only you could take them home and protect them. It is so marvellous to see the incredible detail of the dolls and of the costumes. The embroidery and the workmanship of the jewellery is terrific. I am delighted to have this book and will spend many hours looking at it.My copy arrived in very good time and was a little knocked about in the post.

Worth every penny, love the detail on the photos. The way the author tells us why she has made each doll, story behind it and her drawings. I'd love to own one of those dolls just to be able to say I own a piece of her art.

The most beautiful book I've ever seen. The quality of this book reflects the quality and artistic majesty of Ms Bychkova's work. This book takes pride of place on my coffee table. I love it to bits.

These dolls are so lovely! The details and craftsmanship are stunning. There are dolls and art dolls and these are definitely the later. Each has a unique source of inspiration, seen from the artist point of view that makes them unique.Oh and the book is mostly about the dolls and the artists path to becoming their creator. Some of the dolls have very delicate outfits and details, but most are naked. It is a work of art, their bodies have tattoos, injuries and accurate human anatomy details. If this offends your sensitivity, this is not the book for you. Traditionally, this is expected in this kind of doll and they are not meant as offensive, or lewd, they are simply part of a sculpture (that happens to be a doll). Please, be aware of that.

Um livro incrível, bem feito, cheio de detalhes, as fotos são maravilhosas. Marina Bychkova é definitivamente uma artista que cria belíssimas obras de arte em formato de bonecas. AMEI! Valeu a espera da encomenda!

Magnifique! Que dire d'autre des photos qui ornent se livre? Le côté anglais me fessait peur, je suis pas très douée mais c'est plutôt simple à comprendre.

Un libro fotografico molto dettagliato che illustra l'evoluzione della carriera artistica di Marina Bychkova nella creazione delle sue fantastiche dolls.Unico neo la mancanza di qualche foto di "backstage" che lo avrebbe reso, a mio avviso, ancora più interessante.

Este libro se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos, no sólo por la excelente calidad del papel y de las impresiones, sino por su contenido excepcional.Cuando adquirí este libro pensé que sólo contendría fotografías del arte de Marina Bychkova, sin embargo me llevé la grata sorpresa de que ella explica al lector la inquietud que siempre ha tenido para crear su arte, cómo comenzó y la evolución de éste, su inspiración y un poco de su proceso creativo, gracias a la inclusión de bocetos y esquemas de trabajo.En fin, recomiendo mucho este libro para aquellas personas que disfrutan ver, experimentar, vivir y/o crear arte.
