Gender stereotypes at their best!
Wow! I’ve been looking for a book on gender stereotypes to make sure my kids are equipped to live within social constructs. This really shows toddlers how to be a “guys guy” and a “girly girl”. I’m impressed by the artist’s ability to showcase boys and girls in a way that will prepare all of us for Gilead.

Cute but fragile
I really like this book, and my 2 year old does too. I wish it was a board book though, because it got bent and the pages ripped easily while my son was looking at the pictures and pretending to read.

Not ideal
I like the idea of this book, and my toddler has liked it, but some things are a little offensive.ALL of the depictions of people in the book are white. The illustrations for "good" and "bad" are an angel and a devil, and the angel is a little girl, and the devil is a little boy (I have little boys, so I am possibly oversensitive to gender stereotyping, but this also might kind of irk people of varying religious beliefs). And finally, a few of the "opposites" presented are a stretch: people are presented as "opposites" of animals. I'm not going to throw it away, but I wouldn't buy it again or gift anyone with it.
