Clinical Pharmacology Made Ridiculously Simple: Color Edition: 9781935660705: Medicine & Health Science Books @ desertcart.com Review: Easy to read - Love this book! I'm currently taking pharmacology for my NP program and it has been very useful. Review: Great Book with a Somewhat Deceptive Title! - This is a great book, but it has a somewhat deceptive title. Honestly, I don't think pharmacology can be made ridiculously simple under any conditions. I remember when I was a first year college student and my boyfriend at the time was a third year pharmacy student. I picked up some of his textbooks and began leafing through them, and for all I understood, they could have been written in ancient Greek. Today, I'm studying Advanced Biosciences, so I understand pharmacology a lot better, but it's still not a simple subject. This book, however, has been written in the simplest language possible, and it begins by explaining the principles of pharmacology, which helps a lot. After one has mastered that, and there is a lot more to it than simply alleviating pain or curing an illness, the author moves on to the drugs applicable for the different systems of the body, e.g., the cardiovascular system, the digestive system, the reproductive system, etc. We also learn much about anti-cancer drugs. We learn how drugs are administered, what dosage is appropriate, and what to give when. Even though there really is no way to make pharmacology simple (unless, of course, one compares it to cell biology), I believe this book does the best job possible. It is easy and very interesting to read, even if one isn't studying for an Advanced Biosciences degree as I am. All-in-all, I love this series of books, ridiculously simple or not. They make a great addition to my basic textbooks, and they do help to make clear the more ambiguous principles of clinical pharmacology. I highly recommend this book to anyone studying clinical pharmacology, and especially to anyone who is struggling with it.

For beginners
I was looking for a detailed text . The book is beautiful , clear , with great tables . It seems very useful for a beginner's course in pharmacology . I am 72 and after 47 years of practice , I had detailed specific questions that were beyond the goal of this book .

Excellent basic review of Pharmacology
I was looking for a book to review basic pharmacology especially on medications I do not commonly use. I did not want to read the standard tome from medical school. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Definitely covers the basics in a very simple style with nice tables and graphs. An easy read. Price made it a bargain. The knowledge invaluable. Rate: B+

Not as helpful as I had hoped.
The book had a select few tips and tricks that I hadn’t heard in the past but so few images. Kind of disappointed.

My parcel arrived in poor condition, with both the book and its cover damaged. I am not happy with this and I am requesting a replacement.

Especially if your pharm knowledge isn’t great or you need a refresher. Good breakdown of systems too to make you understand what you’re giving/taking. This needs to be mandatory in nursing undergrad programs
