BAAPET 2/4/5/6 FT Dog Leash with Comfortable Padded Handle and Highly Reflective Threads for Small Medium and Large Dogs (5FT-1/2'', Black)

My dog is 3 years old & it took this long to find the perfect leash. Our dog walk is on a sidewalk and the 2' leash is perfect. The handle is so comfortably padded and it's the perfect length for sidewalk width. It's made very sturdy and I also like the reflective feature.

Literally, this leash saved my life! I bought this leash a week before my family and I headed out for a roadtrip. My family and I were hiking in Northern California near a waterfall when my son slipped and started falling down a steep dirt embankment that then fell off to a 30 foot drop. I was able to dive and grab his hand before he fell the rest of the way, but I could not lift him back up. Within a matter of seconds, I started to slip down as well. My husband who had our dog, ran up to grab me before I slipped further down. Thankfully there was a family across the way and they ran to help. They grabbed the handle of the leash and threw it down to my son and with some stability of my husband and the family’s husband holding on to the leash, my son was able to grab on and climb up. I then did the same! This leash is durable, and heavy duty, and works perfectly! The handle is comfortable to hold, and has great cushion so if your pulling yourself up out of a slippery situation or trying to slow your dog down it doesn’t cut into your hand or skin and won’t leave a rope burn. The clip connects nicely, the color is vibrant and reflects light at night, and it’s the perfect length! (Also the poop bags are a nice touch!) Love this leash!!

I love this leash for my GSD girl. It is much more comfortable on my hands than flat leashes, & very sturdy. I had this for about 2 years & it is still in great condition, no frays or ravels. I trust the c-clasp much more than a snap clasp as my girl lunges at squirrels. I haven't noticed the reflective thread but we are not night walkers. Best leash I have owned.

UPDATED… I had to drop the five star to a four star… Maybe even should’ve done a three star. But I’ll leave it at four because as stated previously, it’s a great made leash. It’s just this darn piece of plastic that should have been metal. The issue I have found is that the joiner protecting clamp that goes over where the rope loops from the handle and the hook, is a medium weight PLASTIC!! The other day, I had attached the leash to Mina’s collar in the house and I had to drop it for just a minute to go find my keys before leaving. Didn’t take me a minute and when I came back, Mina had managed to get that plastic clamp in her mouth and crushed it in one bite. Thank goodness it didn’t break all the way, but I’m curious as to how long the unbroken “half” will stay in place. Again I wish it would have been made out of metal and not plastic. Otherwise it’s wonderful. Just another note… The other end is holding up great but then she’s not got her teeth on it either. I also have the longest version of this leash with a second handle, same company, and it has held up just fine… Again, she’s not got her teeth on it. I am very pleased with this leash. I bought the short leash for training and it is very well-made. The pink is a bright, vibrant pink, but not hot pink. Will make us easily seen while walking. It has a great padded handle loop-it’s very comfortable and quite strong. My pup is a 60 pound, 9 month old GSD and it’s definitely strong enough for her size and a larger dog and should last a long time.

Very durable, sturdy, and makes it easy to manage my dog even when she runs off to chase squirrels.

I have received the 5 foot Strong Dog Leash with comfortable padded grip and inspected it. Although the looped hand grip is padded I probably will not use this feature much. I need to maintain a firm grip of the leash or extended leash of my dog or he will pull the leash out of my hand when I least expect. I have not actually used the leash yet but it appears that it will serve my purpose. This leash was purchased as a backup to my previous backup leash. The clasp swivel on my primary leash came apart at the point where the swivel was connected through a stay at the end of the leash. Over a period of approximately 5 years of tugging the bulb at the end of the swivel popped through the hole of stay. Once my dog realizes he is free from my control he dashes off. I don't move about as well these days, I'm over 70y, so chasing my dog is not an option. He was a street dog, "wild dog" for a portion of roughly 2 years before he was picked up. I adopted him but soon learned that given the chance he would run. My dog was a prison trained dog with off leash commands. Given that he was in an enclosed area when he would run he came back to his trainer because he no where else to run. I live in a country setting. The smells that my dog smells probably remind him of a time when he was the run, free. Every chance he gets to be free from control, he runs. He eventually comes home, about 6 hours later, but being loose and not being observant of traffic on a busy road while chasing wildlife might be and end to my canine. One positive point about this leash is the weak point on my previous leash. The swivel point on the 5 foot Strong Dog Leash that I purchased has a more robust connection. UPDATE: This is my primary leash now. A problem with the other leash was the clasp. I was lucky that my dog didn't notice that the leash was laying on the ground not connected to his collar otherwise he would run off. I will have to order another leash, probably a different color, as a backup. The foam padding at the handhold area is not necessary for me. I don't use the leash the traditional way. I have a rope connected to the handhold to give my Chow Chow more leeway when we are out walking. I like the reflector built into the leash. When I walk my Chow, Kobe, at night its very dark. His fur is black. I live in the country so lights don't light up our walking area. My flashlight reflecting off his leash instantly lets me know Kobe's whereabouts. I have ordered 2 more of this leash. I had an occurrence while visiting a friend last week where I had Kobe on the leash and a 30 foot rope to a tree. Kobe had been in the backyard for a little over a half hour. My friend went to check on Kobe for me and Kobe standing at the back door. My friend checked the leash and rope and there was no sign of distress/damage to the clasp of the leash. Some how Kobe figured how to open the clasp to release him from restraint. I will continue using this leash but I will not leave Kobe unattended. He is a sly rascal and can't be trusted when tied out, alone. I would recommend this leash for walking your canine, as I was using the leash in a way that it is not intended to be used.

This leash is perfect for a dog that likes to chase anything that moves. Our pup is great at keeping pace with us until he sees something he wants to chase. If I see it coming, I can usually prevent it, but if it catches me off guard, he can about jerk my arm out of its socket. We tried other leashes before, and I ended up with cuts and bruises on my hands. The padded handle on this leash has kept my hands pain-free. We like it so much we've purchased multiples to keep one near each door and in our cars. The 1/2 inch diameter leash is super sturdy and can easily stand up to anything our 70 pound pup can dish out. A thinner one probably would be fine too, but I like how sturdy this one feels. The plastic clip covering the end of the rope popped off of once when he pulled super hard, but it clipped back into place and hasn't come off again. One note: the product is EXACTLY as pictured in the product listing. We ordered a 6 ft. leash and it came with a metal ring on the handle (as pictured) and came with a poo bag dispenser. We then ordered a two-pack of 5 ft leashes and both had the metal ring (as pictured) and came with one poo bag dispenser and one collapsable bowl (as pictured). We then ordered an additional 5 ft leash to keep in the car and it didn't have the metal ring or come with a poo bag dispenser (which I didn't realize when ordering but is exactly as pictured in the product listing).

I love this leash but my husband doesn’t care for the thick handle. But for my skinny hands that’s the best part. Sturdy all around.

This dog leash is very comfortable and sturdy. When you need to hold the leash itself the round rope design allows much more control than a flat leash. I also love the comfort handle as even when my dogs pull a bit it doesn't hurt my hand.

Ive been using this for a few months now and its great on my daily morning walk with my German shepherd. Quality is great for price and comfortable to hold.
