I have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of pests in my property since installing this in the centre of my hallway (as close to the middle of the house as possible) There are literally no bugs left here that i can see anyway

For several weeks now, I have been endeavouring to rid my property of a minor mouse infestation.Two were caught in humane traps and removed, but a third (and probably more) were proving particularly elusive to capture, so I chose to purchase this gizmo as a last resort.To be honest, it sounded too good to be true, but what waivered the balance was the promise of a 30-day, no quibble, money-back guarantee, so what was there to lose?It struck me that one would probably not serve my purposes, as the mice could easily relocate to another part of the house, so I purchased two of them. One was placed on the landing and another in the kitchen, where a mouse had succeeded in avoiding the peanut-butter and chocolate loaded humane trap and bitten its way into a sack of potatoes instead.The first night I used a security camera to see whether or not a mouse would venture into the kitchen regardless of the Home Pest Control and one did appear, but only briefly and there was no evidence of any damage. The following two nights it did not appear at all and there have been no observations to suggest that mice have invaded any other part of the house.It is early days yet, but so far this device seems promising. As the days get warmer, ants usually manage to find their way into the conservatory, so I will be keen to see if it is able to resolve that problem.I will keep this review updated to show the continued effectiveness of this gadget, but so far so good....

No noise, took a while to kick in but the insects seem to have got the message now. Get the odd one or two visitors but no where near the volume we used to have.Great customer service, would definitely use this company again

Update: Ugh! They came back. I think it's important to seal their entry so they can't reenter.We've had a horrible rat infestation in our attic and walls for over a month. We tried traps that worked to begin with. Caught about 12 in a week, but then they got smart to the traps. Tried the glue pads for rats. They simple threw insulation all over them and went on about their business of destroying our attic's insulation and stinking it up with their urine. The UPC devices were our last hope before having to spend megabucks on an exterminator. I got them in on Monday afternoon and plugged them up immediately, more than willing to wait a week or two for results as the devices information indicates! 3 upstairs and 3 down. Within hours I heard some strange clunking under my tub (near where I knew them to be coming in and out of the house in the crawl space) and a rat "cry". I told my husband I hoped it was the vermin running from the house with its brains melting. NOW it's Wednesday morning, just one and a half days since I plugged the UPC devices up. I am sitting in a silent livingroom. No more constant scratching in my walls and ceilings. No more rat baby cries for their mum!!! Just silence!

I'll cut to the chase. Regardless of effectiveness, you should know that this unit lights up and pulses, and there is no way for you to turn this off. The light is very bothersome if you like to sleep in complete darkness... and frankly, the pulsing feels a bit creepy. I also bought the repeller by Fiery Youth to compare... and while the form factor is not as pretty, it at least allows you to turn off the nightlight. Bonus is that it has a wider sonic range (lower bound is 22 vs 25 for this one).

We have had them in the house now for around a month. They seem to be working. I have yet to hear my daughter scream (2 in her room).

I read tons of reviews on this product prior to purchasing and they were good reviews. All I can say is that they must have been from people that get free products to do reviews for because they are worthless and a waste of money. I live in farming community surrounded by amish farms so every fall and spring when they plow the fields everyone around us gets filed mice, including us. The directions say to allow a little longer for mice, well we have had them for weeks and the mice still do not care. They walk right past them and are not bothered at all, for that matter we had a stink bug land on the one in the kitchen 2 nights ago. We did as it said and purchased one for every room of the house and now I wish I had kept my money and bought more glue traps. We can not use poison because of our pets and because who wants to have the smell of dead mice in their home after they take into the walls and die there? All they are is expensive night lights at best. Save your money.

"I hate it" sums it up I guess. It does NOT work, READ the verified purchaser's reviews, I wish I had.I plugged all 6 of them in a tiny 300sq feet NYC apartment, roaches and spiders cruise around just like before... just do not buy, take my word for it (and I very rarely take the time to actually write a review for something I bought!)
