One of the most highly anticipated supergroups of recent times, Scour are the merger of Pantera's Philip H. Anselmo, Pig Destroyer's John Jarvis, and Cattle Decapitation's Derek Engemann. An interesting combination....and surprisingly the music sounds nothing like any of the aforementioned bands. Scour speaks for itself.

Phil Anselmo really could sing in any style he wanted to...
When I discovered that Phil Anselmo was yet in another project band but this time doing black metal, I had to check the project out. All I can say is how in the hell can Anselmo hit all those deep growls and piercing high screams? If you have heard him speak or sing from 2000 to now, you could tell he has blown his singing voice. Not his growling voice as it appears though. The album is on the short side, but it is your typical black metal style; short, evil, chaotic soloing and heavy breaks. This album is for fans of newer black metal and for the Phil fans.
