The best guide for SCOR 350-701 preparation
This book is an outstanding resource for anyone preparing for the CCNP and CCIE Security Core (SCOR 350-701) exam. Going for a cert?
Standard Cisco press, required reading for me.

Overall, the book is better written and updates the needed terminology. The only negative is that they used a softcover.

Working towards the SCOR exam? This is the book to use!
I’m using this book in conjunction with online videos from CBT Nuggets and so far the book is following along with the material perfectly. It’s laid out in an easy to read manner and nothing has been difficult to grasp.

Pretty solid intro to material
This is a good launching off point to go explore each topic in more depth. I would have given it at least 4 stars except Pearson's practice tests are weak and lame, and they're a pretty big selling point. Hopefully calling them out explicitly will get the powers that be at Cisco to lean on Pearson to do a better job in the upcoming (Aug 2026) revision of the exam. 1. The questions are too easy 2. There are so few of them that you memorize the answers fast 3. There are no simulated configurations or even screenshots of GUIs with questions about how to configure tasks, which is part of the exam 4. Almost none of the questions have explanations #4 is the biggest problem. The Pearson folks were too lazy to bother explaining anything. All they had to do was pay a guy for a week to dig up authoritative explanations to these questions but they couldn't be bothered.

1. the book is a soft cover and it is paper bag . 2. the page are so think you can see what it is print on the other side. I call and Cisco Press and it tell me you need to an international version .

Essential reading for the CCNP-S path
Well laid out and excellent content. Referenced during a number of exams 300-710 and 300-715, as although I have the certification guides for those exams this does provide an additional source and perspective.
