I can just get data off my old hard drives, but for some reason when I use it my pc mouse and keyboard do not operate as they should. Actions are delayed by many seconds, there is a conflict somewhere, it is most frustrating.I type, nothing happens, I re type nothing and then the first catches up and I have repeated text. As I move the mouse, the curser stays still. Move mouse again curser jumps to a randome place on screen. Grrrr.

Tried 2 drives, one a ssd, on 2 pc's but usb3 only worked for a few seconds. Changed to usb 2 and it works but takes ages to transfer.

Works well but it is very light plastic.My amazon warehouse purchase contained a 2 pin euro plug so I had to buy a suitable 3 pin adaptor in my local store.

I’ve had a top loading dock but I prefer this flat version. The reason is that you can see the socket and make sure it lines up correctly. The top loaders you can’t and that has always concerned me – especially when you have to wiggle them about a bit to sit right. Some are obviously better than others, but this one eases my mind. Not to mention the fact that it means the hard drive is in its natural position and not stood on end.The docking station came in a nice box and inside was the dock itself, a power supply, USB cable and instructions.The dock is hot-swappable, but it’s always best to eject them on the PC/Mac beforehand. It’s a simple, yet solid design and I’m pleased to have it.Overall, does exactly as described, so can’t really fault it.Note: The manufacturer kindly provided a sample (or at a reduced cost) for me to test.
