Good cable box but look out for the curved top.
I think it's very necessary to have cable management boxes especially when there's a surge protector. I'm surprised not more people actually use them. I've been using Bluelounge for a while now and looked to another alternative (something a little less costly). Personally, I'm a little torn by the fact the top portion is caved in rather than flat. I initially thought it was defect and had to look on amazon again to verify that it is indeed warped for the particular purpose of ensuring things don't fall off the sides. I probably wouldn't be inclined to put anything heavy on top.It does a good job of managing cables and looks kind of trendy. It's debatable which one is actually better. The downside is that Bluelounge is a little more expensive and doesn't have the wood like style but its structure is sturdier than DMoose due to how they designed their box; hence if you're looking to stack books on top of a Bluelounge, you can trust it'll hold its form.Bluelounge CableBox White - Cable Management

I like having the option to have my cord exit from ...
After having my lift chair come down on my cords and even on my power strip; after having to hold my cords out of the way with my reacher while lowering my chair into place more times than I con count, I decided that I needed a box to put all my cords and electronics into, that would hold them all out of the way. I did not know if such a thing existed, or if I would have to buy a big tupperware box and carve holes into it. Low and behold, DMoose beat me to it! They have invented- and then improved upon - just the thing I needed!I looked a bit at other models, but the woodgrain tops on the DMoose products sold me. I am in the process of changing my decor to mid-century modern, and their white boxes with light woodgrain fit right in. I sent for both the original flat top model and this curvy one with the slot at the top of the end panel and along the side of the top. I like having the option to have my cord exit from the top. It works better for the short charge cord for my headphones. I have all my little charging nibs coming out of that top slot and picked up the Envisioned Compact and Weighted Desktop Cord Holder and Cable Organizer to hold on to them all. It is working very well. The DMoose has not budged from its spot next to my chair, holding snugly onto the Marmoleum floor. It was large enough inside for a 6-plug power strip with offset plugs that give a little more room for today's big plugs. I even have the old computer's bulky transformer in there, and a lot of cords. I opened up the case several times in the first few days to see if it was getting hot in there, and it is not even warm. My new computer has an extra-big box at the plug, doing away with the two-part cord and the transformer at the end of the first cord. Unfortunately, this big boxy plug does not fit in the power strip and inside of the DMoose with the power strip laying flat on its back. The plug is too big. So, I have to angle the power strip inside the DMoose a bit. Luckily, the transformer from my old computer is just the right size to put behind the power strip to help hold it at the right angle so that I can close the DMoose box.I just took a picture of the box for this review and remembered that I also have the chair control box and battery back up shoved in there! The lower right corner you can see the tall square plug for my new computer, which is why the power strip is not lying flat. On the left, the big black box is the chair's electronics. You can see the copper color on the two 9 volt batteries for the chair's battery back-up toward the middle of the box. So yes, even this model DMoose holds a lot! You can also see how squeezed I am for space between the chair, the end table next to my chair, and the lamp base behind the table. Imagine all of those electronics flying about willy-nilly, getting under the chair, going back behind the chair where I can't see them, the mini-Dachshund sniffing around in them and moving them all around. What a mess it used to be! I am so glad I decided that there MUST be some better way to organize it all, went looking for it, and found DMoose!

Very good, especially for applications in rooms with hardwood floors and something on top.
I spent too much time looking at various plastic boxes designed to hide wires, and eventually bought this one. I liked it enough to buy a second one.Is it perfect? No, but it works very well for certain applications. Call it four and a half stars. The white with very realistic-looking "wood" top works well in rooms that have hardwood floors and is particularly well-suited for applications that require something fairly small to sit on top of it like a cell phone or, in my case, the remote receiver for a subwoofer. The slots for cables are at the top and bottom, and there is a narrow one along one edge for running small cables like the ones that power cell phones. That's very likely why they bowed the top. It makes it easy and secure to set your phone on the top, plug it in using a cable run through the narrow slot along the top and let it charge. The top has molded-in ribs inside for support but is fairly thin. The entire thing is pretty lightweight, but not so much that it will crack under normal usage, even with something small on top. The simulated wood grain is plastic but very realistic. It looks very good on a wood floor. The main drawback is the fit is pretty loose, and the ends are held by small plastic ridges that don't do much to stop any pressure from the cables inside it from popping off the lid.The slots are effective, but to use the top ones on the sides requires running the cable through the slot, which might be impossible if the cable is a fixed connection on both the device and the power cube. This was disappointing, as there were some cables I would have run through the top slots had the plug fit through the slot.I ended up buying several of the version from Bluelounge in various colors. Bluelounge CableBox Moonlight Blue - Cable Management They cost a little more, are about the same size, are heavier and sturdier, and the lids won't come off accidentally. I don't mean to say this product is bad, as it is not. For the application, it was easily the best choice and I would do it again.I've included a picture to show the end result, which was very successful.Sean Logue, 2017
