Works great but be warned....it foams like crazy and very quickly.
I had a problem with tree roots way out by the street from the time I bought my house. Became friends with the local, independent rooter guy as he was out each 6 months to clear clogs in the line. He suggested a man who wouldn't break the bank in figuring out where the root intrusion was and repairing it. I had him over and he ran a camera, finding the problem at the point where my sewer line met the city line. The city claimed it was my problem. The man dug down about 4 feet to find the problem and cut a ton of roots from the chinese Elm tree next door, saying he had bought me some time to think about having him replace some line and fitting. The cost would be about $15,000. Took my breath away. I used Roebics for a year or so and it worked OK then I came across this product with great reviews. Have not had a clog since (and the neighbor just had that tree removed). I should warn anyone who tries to put it in through a toilet, that it foams like crazy and very quickly. You really need one person with a big bucket full of water to pour it in immediately after you put this product in or it will foam onto the floor. Ask me how I know? The second time I did it through the cleanout and had a hose ready. No fuss, no muss and no root clogs.

This stuff works, but...
This stuff definitely works, but it makes a mess if you're not careful. If you do use it indoors, try the basement tub instead, to control the overflow of foam. It should be said this product will not help if your root problem is serious -- call a plumber and then have the intrusive trees removed. Over time, these roots will get stronger and cause even greater problems, such as sink holes in your basement. I recommend this product if your root problem is a minor one. It is expensive, which is why you should be sure what degree of issue you have.

Use a funnel.
Worked as advertised. Would recomend using a funnel. Sewer line has remained root free for a year after using. Good product.

Very effective for managing roots around your sewer and plumbing lines.
This was recommended by a guy who works for the public utility company in my area. Had to have them out to check out a problem with roots at the Main. He said this is the greatest stuff to use. So I bought it and so far so good. I figure the guys who deal with sewer issues and roots on a daily basis should know and he uses it at his own property. That's all I need to know. Shop around because the price on this stuff varies WIDELY. This was the best price I found.
