The 5mm sterling silver jump ring is made from 0.6mm wire giving it an internal diameter of 3,8mm (ID 3.8mm). The Jump Ring is one of the most versatile and useful components that you can have in your jewellery kit. We have currently stock sterling silver jump rings in three sizes; 4mm, 5mm, & 6mm. Commonly used when hanging pendants from necklaces or connecting two findings together; e.g. necklace end and a clasp. When a few are linked together this forms a small chain which can be used as a clasp's safety chain or an extension chain. Also used in chainmaille jewellery. These rings have a break that allows you to twist open and close, however the sterling silver jump rings can be carefully soldered closed.
