This the 2nd book in the series and picks up where Fatal Obsession left off.Dani is trying to gain custody of her newly found niece only to get the surprise of a lifetime. She is a professional, single woman and the only thing she can focus on is the adoption of Lily.Sawyer is so consumed with Dani, no one else even catches his attention. Unfortunately, his past dalliances seem to pop up everywhere. The man just can help his sex appeal. Protecting others is what he does as a detective and when it comes to Dani and the little girl that has stolen his heart, he will protect them at all costs.These characters are great. I felt everything they were experiencing. The story was suspenseful and flowed well.I will definitely recommend this series to others and I can't wait to see what the author has in store next.

I loved the first book, but I could not stand this one. The hero was likable, but could not walk two feet without running into ex-lover. And then threw themselves at him. The heroine Dani was so annoying. Their relationship was all about fussing & lies. She was really TSTL. Telling the hero that he was not the baby's father was so stupid, and annoying!!! Then tells all their friends the same lie!!! I just couldn't deal!!! It had none of the mystery that the first book had.I admit the last 1/4 was very interesting.

Lynn Stookes has done it again! For a beginning author she sure sucks you into the story. I cant say much since I do not want to spoil any of the twists and turns in this book, but I will say is that I did not see that ending coming.Oh and Sawyer ::calm down my heart:: He has definitely made it to the top of my list for book boyfriends. Now where is the 3rd book?!?!?! I want to keep living in the Harden World.

Dani & Sawyer. (Sigh) What a great story about these two hard headed people! We met Dani & Sawyer in Fatal Obsession and you could feel the tension and maybe even hatred from these two. I am so glad they got their own story. Working out their issues while their world is falling apart adds so much suspense to this sweet story about second chances and love!!

I love this series and can't wait for the next. I will say it saddened me that B and K didn't get married yet and the reason why but I will look forward to continuing and hope they get their wedding soon. This had great drama and romance.

After reading the first book I had to know how things worked out. Well written with well defined characters. Sawyer is endearing and you can't help but feel a kinship with the characters.

This book was even better than the first one in the series. I absolutely loved it. Very twisty and suspenseful. Don't hesitate - get your copy now, you won't regret it. I cannot wait for the next one!
