Tac cHef knife
this knife is super big and very spicy with and amazing top liner cross bar lock which I barely see on knives that are sub 100 dollars. This knife for the price is great and comparable to the cold steel voyager line up. It will make a great chef knife if that's your thing but this would also be great for tactical purposes. The lock Is a bit stiff but will break in over time and become easier to open. Also the look of this knifes g10 scales look really nice and feel really good too.

Great folding prep knife
This knife arrived sharp and after a quick wash it was ready to use, the button lock seems sturdy and engages well. It does not replace all of my kitchen knives lol, but it is a very handy size for chopping and prepping. It is a great grill side or camping companion. Being foldable makes it easy to put in back/front pocket or pack and does not require a seperate sheathe to keep track of. I have not sharpened it yet, it seems to hold an edge decently, hand washes nicely, I would not put in dishwasher, use a pipe cleaner or brush for cleaning inside the handle. This is a well built knife at a very good price, I would definitely recommend it.

It's a man sized Everything Knife......
VG10...... So super slicey....... 5.5 inch beyond razor sharp blade..... I friggin LOVE this knife so much that it earned a front row spot among my other monster sized folders on the display zone.I wear XXL sized gloves and it even looks big and impressive in my giant paws. This guy is def a great kitchen knife but it would do just as well pulling tactical anti-badguy duty as well. It looks lightweight but don't be fooled by the thinner blade, this thing had full steel liners and is solid as a brick.......The blade is thin but not nearly as flexible as you would think it is..... Solid AF.....The push button lock makes it fidget friendly too. The G10 scales are contoured nicely, they look and feel amazing....The value for the money is off the hook. Buy this thing before it gets discontinued and ends up on eBay for 300 bucks used.

Worth the money
Deducting one star for the pivot. Will not gravity open. Not a very good one hand opening experience either. The lock is sturdy and the blade is well aligned. Not the best for chopping larger vegetables like potatoes and onions because of the length but I should have picked the bigger one. That's on me.As for the steel. It seems to have pretty good edge retention. I've never owned vg10 before so i couldn't tell you if it is 100% legitimate, but It seems to be good quality. The factory edge isn't the best, pretty middling. I would put a new edge on it if I were you. This goes for most knives you buy. Even from high quality brands the factory edges are pretty meh.

Functional, Sharp, and Space Saving
Very nice bought the longer version. Came sharp, smooth locking and stable. Used the knife to dice several onions, and sale tomatoes. Worked well.My use. Case is for RVing and lessening space taken by my larger chef knives. Purchased the smaller one and hoping they come out with a pearing knife.

Outstanding little camp cook knife.
I was looking at a compact, dedicated food prep knife for backpacking and this is exactly what I was hoping for.Bigger than I imagined, but still compact and feels good in the hand.I'm a lefty, so I find the button orientation is absolutely perfect for me.It is accessible for opening and closing, but also out of the way in any hand position I could try. This is not the case when using it right handed, but I still didn't have any issues with accidentally depressing it.Blade was passibly sharp out of the box, but it only took a few minutes of sharpening to get it shaving sharp.Sharpening was a breeze due to the edge geometry and blade profile.Cleaning was no problem, which was something I was worried about with a folder.Cutting with it for kitchen tasks has been excellent, though I admit I have only tried it in the kitchen thus far.So far, I am very pleased with this knife and will probably buy a few more for the rest of the family's camp kits.I'll see about updating this review after a few camping trips and see how it performs in the field.

Great knife
I have been looking for this knife for many years. A folder, with a thin blade, designed solely for kitchen work. I love knives and have high standards. This knife achieves it intended purpose beautifully. The geometry of the whole knife is wonderful. The blade geometry chops and slices beautifully. The blade has resistance to opening by accident. The button lock works great. The construction is simple and sturdy. The g10 is grippy even covered in fats and oils.It is perfect for traveling. I bought 2 and will probably buy more.Very, very well done folding kitchen blade.Edit: I just got back from a week fishing in Sarasota. I used this both the small and large versions of this knife. I made ceviche, salads, prepared fresh fish, and a lot of other snacks and veggie trays for my family. I also used the blades to chop up fish carcasses to be used as chum and bait chunks. I purposely cut through heads, spines, tails to test the durability of the blade. These knives are excellent. They handle like Japanese knives like santokus and gyutos. After a week of chopping I steeled the blade and stropped it. It still shaves hair. There is zero edge damage and no flat spots. The vg-10 heat treat is spot on. The blade is tough enough to chop fish carcasses and not chip and yet still retain a hair popping edge after a week of heavy use.FINALLY, a great folding chef knife for traveling. Keep the new models coming Tacray, I'll try every one!
