Brought this on a whim after my bridge broke, 😮💨. Unless you can wood work, these are useless.

Maybe I was unlucky...
I had spent some time preparing this bridge blank, thinning and trimming it, working exclusively on the front. I had then begun shaping the bridge foot to fit the cello front. I was then not pleased to find a corner of the bridge foot had broken away, on the back surface, which I had not yet touched. Looking at it more carefully, I can see that the grain runs at an angle across the foot. I bought two of these, and one is still unused, but I will put them both into the bin, as I cannot waste my time on a bridge blank that falls to pieces. It was not expensive, but I had expected it to be at least adequate for the task. A poor choice of wood for this purpose.
