Lancaster Bombers [DVD]

Contains some interesting and useful information, especially on the interior and the functioning of the plane. However the DVD as a whole is almost totally ruined by a) showing a lot of footage of American and other planes which are not Lancasters, but giving the impression that they are!!! Lancaster footage could and should have been used. b) Other irrelevant footage which has nothing to do with Lancasters.The delivery was of DVD was excellent but it is debatable if this DVD is value for money!

As "Teddybear's Pal" says, this DVD is a waste of money - irrelevant footage of aerobatic aircraft purporting to be enemy fighters attacking Lancs, constant film of American bombers (usually B-24 Liberators or B25 Mitchells) which the makers assume will do in place of Lancs (of which plenty of footage is available, so why they didn't use it beats me), all based upon the assumption that people watching such a DVD will not know the difference, so why not just take their money and s***w them? The makers don't even know the difference between an undercarriage and a bomb-bay, as at one point we are shown the capacious bomb-bay of a Lanc while being told it is part of the undercart.This DVD is one of the most disgusting examples of lazy, rip-off exploitation of people buying something in good faith that I've ever seen; it ought to be a criminal offence to market such rubbish.Appalling, fraudulent garbage which ought to be used as suppositories for its makers.
