Slant for Sewing machine
I used for my sewing machine; wedge inserted in back of machine. Gives it a tilt forward so it is easier to see and use needle plate while sewing. This often relieves neck and back strain while sewing. I brought one for everyone in my sewing class and it was a hit! One door stop worked for even large machines. Adjustable height depending on how far wedge is inserted and very cost effective solution!

Door stop, laptop riser and disability friendly.
The main reason I got these doorstops wasn't because I needed doorstops (although I did.)My setup has a laptop sitting directly in front on a monitor on a sitting/standing desk. I had zero tolerance clearance beyond an inch and a tiny bit, or I wouldn't be able to see the bottom of my monitor. No matter how long I searched for a riser to keep my laptop angled up high enough for cooling purposes, the solution didn't exist. For the longest time I used a couple of wood blocks, but they meant my laptop kept slipping. I knew a couple of doorstops would work if they were the right height. This is the perfect solution. It keeps my laptop in place, at the right angle, and allows airflow behind and underneath my laptop. I need the fan on for those times I'm doing heavy graphics, or have a zillion tabs open at once while comparison shopping on Amazon. As for the placement of the handydoor stop holder. I'm including a pic of where I put one inside the door jamb at hand-height. It's not as noticeable and sticks better than on the rounded front molding. For the most part, I only use a doorstop seasonally. The doors stay open in the warmer months and shut in the winter, so door stops aren't something I would have bought if it weren't for the need for a laptop riser. grin. I like the holes. It is a nifty way for the manufacturer to save money in materials, and looks cool, and better yet, if I find that I need to move them into and out of place more frequently, I can tie a string onto it! Because, at a certain age, getting down to pick something off the ground is a cause for careful planning!

A quality sturdy doorstop
The best thing about these doorstops is that they are heavy duty. They should last for decades. The little holder that sticks to the back of the door solves the problem of doorstops wandering off when they have been "unstopped" for a few days. These doorstops will slide on carpet, but not easily enough to be a problem. They are also a bit thick, but they fit fairly easily enough under all the doors I've used them on in my house. I purchased them because the Rubbermaid doorstops I was using were completely misshapen and not really usable anymore. I needed the doorstops to keep one of my cats from closing doors around the house, which seems to be one of his hobbies. For that purpose, they are perfectly suitable. Of course, they will also keep doors from being blown shut by a breeze or any other purpose required of doorstops. The reason I gave the product only 4 stars is because when used under a door in a room with tile (such as bathroom tile), it slides on the floor, and is a bit difficult to get under the door. I push on it with a foot to get it as much under the door as possible. This has been sufficient enough to keep my door-closing cat from closing them, and I have never found the doors partially closed because the cats got rambunctious. It might be a problem, though, with a larger heavier dog. I would not rely solely on these when I go away for the weekend or something, and always set heavy things in the doorways so the cats don't get themselves locked in somewhere.Generally speaking, I have been very pleased with these door stops and would buy them again.

Fast, convenient, very useful
Each door stop comes with self-adhesive holder - so it's always where you need it.

It slips in porcelain floor and damaged the door then applying force
It won't stop my doors from closing because it just slides through the porcelain floor.I applied force to get it to stick and I ended up damaging the door.Maybe this is really not meant to be used in porcelain floor, so I gave them all away to family member that could have a better experience because of their floor types.3 starts since I might be wrong on trying to use them in porcelain floor, and me thinking that the contact with the door should be softer, not hard plastic only.

great for higher doors
After removing our carpeting, the gap under the door was too high for most door stoppers. These work perfectly because you can stack 2 of them together to fit under a higher door. The only slight complaint is they didn't adhere well to the door. I made sure I cleaned the door with alcohol ahead of time to remove any residue or dirt. One stuck on great, the other fell off after about a week.

This is not a door stopper. It's more of a door holder.
Just got them in not even 5 minutes ago. I'm about to move out with either a new roommate, if I can find one, or into a motel until I can find someone that I feel safe and comfortable with and just wanted some extra security at night. The first thing I noticed was how massive and nice looking they are. I got pretty excited, especially with all the positive reviews. However, when I tried it, the doorstop just slid while opening the door. I tried it again but this time digging it deeper underneath the door and it made it harder to open the door but if you're the intruder all you had to do was reclose the door, reopen it and the doorstop slides right out underneath.I even tried two doorstops which helped but same issue. Just close and open the door 2-3 times and the other person will be able to get in.I'm probably just expected too much from a doorstop. If anything it may slow them down, enough time to grab a weapon, to call the police or to climb out the window. If you're getting this for security, I would still recommend. Just make sure you use 2 of them, not stacked, stacking doesn't do anything, at all actually, one towards the end of the door and the other a little further away than the middle part of the door and buy yourself a good door security bar as well. These two items combined will definitely give you a piece of mind. Not good for protection. Good for if you just need to prop open a door.3 stars for the amount you get, the size they are, how nice they look and it somewhat works for it's intended function as a "door stopper."
