Ok I’m a flashlight nut so why would I buy these cheap AAA flashlights? Actually took a flyer for a few friends who ARN’T flashlight nuts. They don’t know why a similar light might be $40-$50 (like my Maratac military 3 mode AAA lights.My expectations were not high. They were exceeded. These flashlights are wellMade. Good fit & finish. Nice soft button on the rear for single mode 400 lumen flood. Perfect pocket or glove box light. Bought the 5 pack so the cost me $4 bucks each. Well worth it. Great gift for non flashlight nuts ;-)

These are a "what would you do if" lights. They are quite inexpensive but seem to be working quit well. I had one that the switch started to malfunction, but a sharp thump to the side (with it in my hand) corrected that completely.I have MANY high output flash lights, and these are no comparison. That said, if you need something to get you to the high output ones, these are a very good value.

Lots of light for the size. It is not a tactical flashlight but when things are really dark it gives off enough light to keep you from stubbing your toe or falling over/tripping over all of those booby traps left by your kids and grandkids.

I like these so much, I bought two packs and have them everywhere. I keep them in my coats for walking the dogs at night, in my purse, at the top and bottom of the stairs, in the bathrooms, office, bedrooms and car.My husband, who uses big extra bright lights looked a little askance at mine, until the lights went out. He couldn't find his lights in the dark, but because mine are everywhere, I had one on and helped him find his right away. He turned on his and was startled to discover that mine, a third the size, was at bright as his.A convert, he now has his own set.

At first I loved these little guys. I ordered the short ones and the longer ones. And the first of each I pulled out of the box worked flawlessly. It had a good tail switch and the light was bright well focused and clear. I didn’t think much of it until the other day when I needed to use another one and it didn’t work. So I ended up testing all of them and two of the five did not work.At couple bucks apiece I know I’m not getting a super percision machined Phoenix like barrel. These things are very light in the aluminum is thinner but that’s not a negative for me because this is a light of convenience. But I still want some reliability. That being said I’ve ordered some of the AA lights on Amazon for three dollars and a piece, it just takes them a month to get here from overseas. and those are the same lights that are sold here and elsewhere for 12 to 15 bucks. And they were precision machined and awesome, so just because you’re buying a cheap light doesn’t mean you can’t get a good solid flashlight. But these are not it . I already knew the reason for this from my experience with the two AAA battery version of these things, which is that the LED circuit board is permanently glued into the flat shed. And the job is pretty sloppy and sometimes it’s quite crooked and if it’s crooked enough the light doesn’t seem to work. I’m not sure if it means something got shorted out or the battery doesn’t make proper contact. But there is no way to recede the LEDs. They’re dug in there for good. Unlike the higher end versions of these lights where you can pull out the components and receive them these are permanently installed so if they did a bad job you can’t really do much about it. These lights do not fill me with the sense of dependability.So it’s not like there’s any shortage of cheap flashlights on Amazon so go find another brand because these will probably not make you happy face .

They take 1 AAA battery, so the unit is a bit shorter than some.I installed the battery, snugged up the lens housing, and clicked the switch.Substantially brighter than my other pocket flashlights.People I have given to as gifts have remarked similarly.I have not utilized long enough to determine battery or switch life.

I bought these to be handy in my pocket as I'd taken a food delivery job and as winter comes in, you can't see house numbers. The brightness on these is enough to be able to shine from the van, down a drive and see the numbers, I didn't expect that at 400 lunens. Was quite surprised at how well they worked. Really lightweight, you don't know they're in your pocket, and to prove that I have put 2 through the washing machine in my pocket, and they still work 😀

These arrived in simple budget packaging and I was doubtful. But after I popped in AAA rechargeable (700mah) battery I was very impressed that I could see the spot of light on walls in a day lit room. Trying it later at night confirmed my initial positive thoughts and I was surprised the beam was so strong and covered at least 30meter distance in the dark as seen in the pics. Very lightweight too at only 30g inc Battery so I wont even notice it in coat or shirt pocket. Build quality is great,not amazing as there are sections of the screw together pieces that feel a little cheap as it's not 100% smooth. I dont think these will last if you drop them in a puddle, as they arent rubber ring sealed at the front plastic lens but then if you drop any torch not many how rugged it's designed you're likely to be at mercy if sods law for its weakest point! These wont be used for medical purposes (albeit me and my son had fun lighting up each others tonsils for 10mins and they really do fill void with light) but as a pack of 5 they are perfect for losing them around the home and in different jackets etc for walks home on darks night around rural lanes. These will definately ensure I am seen by cars at least 10m before they get too close and the beam will light up a hedge in the corners so cars can be aware. Perfect for Country walks home from the pub at night

Amazing lumens. Picking up detail at 40mtrs range and all with a single led and aSingle AAA battery. Recommended.

Very flimsy. The on off button has broken, rendering the torch useless. The light is not very bright. The torch is an ideal size, designed well but the quality of the finished product is poor.
