**LIMITED** The brainchild of Amelia Murray, Fazerdaze began as a string of bedroom recordings created late in the night, emerging fully-formed in 2014 as her debut eponymous EP. NME described it as 'elegant dream pop', while US blog HillyDilly exclaimed how 'Fazerdaze transports us to a warm, optimistic sonic space with her glistening synths and mellow acoustic guitar strums'. NZ's Sunday Star Times listed it in their 'Best of 2014' spread, hailing it as a 'versatile collection of near-perfect pop songs...'. Since the EP release, Fazerdaze and her band have shifted to another level. Opening the 2015 New Zealand Silver Scroll Awards with her cover of Marlon Williams' Dark Child as well as supporting and touring with international acts like Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Connan Mockasin. This year Fazerdaze toured the UK, became a genuine highlight at Australia's BIGSOUND music conference and recently took part in the the 2016 Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal.// 'elegant dream pop' NME // Tracks 1 Last To Sleep 2 Lucy Girl 3 Misread 4 Little Uneasy 5 Jennifer 6 Take It Slow 7 Shoulders 8 Friends 9 Half Figured 10 Bedroom Talks

Easily one of my favourite albums of last year
Easily one of my favourite albums of last year, all thanks to a random YouTube recommendation. Lucky Girl is the stand out track, super catchy and never fails to put a smile on my face. Take It Slow, Jennifer and Half-Figured are favourites too. It's just really awesome chilled dream pop, j love the production!

Sunshine guitar pop
Happy guitar driven pop, lots of hints of summer, and she is charming live. Saw them at LiveAtLeeds 2017, loved "LuckyGirl" bought the album and really enjoyed it.

‘Twas once a fair Sontag morgen
Great album. All recorded in her bedroom, as well. Amazon did a good job of moving this from their warehouse to my front door.

Laid Back Toe-Tapper
I know you shouldn’t pigeon-hole bands since others will have different views of who fits where, but if I had to describe Fazerdaze (or more specifically Amelia Murray) to someone who didn’t have access to the internet and Youtube I would say this is what would happen if the Sundays decided to make a Pixies album with a small sprinkling of late ‘80s Cocteau Twins; each track is a mellow backing with a reverbed guitar picking out an interesting melody and heavily reverbed/echoed lyrics over the top. Amelia has a clean voice and the naïve song-writing and melodies fit neatly with this. This is clean cut Indie Rock/Pop and the album has all the hallmarks of a first album, i.e. the songs are quite minimal both in terms of structure and lyrics, but are very neatly put together to create engaging soundscapes and laid back toe-tappers. Like other reviewers, I was drawn to Fazerdaze by “Lucky Girl” and I think this is ‘the track most likely to be the first single’ if Amelia was taking that path. The best tracks for me are “Little Uneasy” and “Jennifer”, which are slightly more complex and polished tracks. Overall this is a very pleasant and enjoyable album. I bought it on impulse having heard “Lucky Girl” and after a number of repeat plays I am still happy I bought it. If you like the Sundays/ Pixies/ Cocteau Twins type sounds then I am sure you will like this too.

fresh vibrant indie dream pop with fine vocals
A very reasonable affair of fresh vibrant indie dream pop with fine vocals & a solid analogue backing which makes you want to keep on playing it. It's a short 30min affair with highlights being 'Little Uneasy', 'Jennifer', 'Take It Slow' and just misses a few other lyrically strong melodic numbers. Nevertheless a positive enjoyable affair & hopefully Fazerdaze's next effort going one better. [the 160g vinyl LP is excellent but unfortunately there was no mp3 download card within]
