Not a 2 pack!
I have no idea what the "2PK" in the title of this listing means - it appears nowhere on the feeder. I can tell you it does *not* mean two pack - as I thought it did.

Very well made with heavy duty stainless steel. The chain is easy to adjust and the s hooks keep it attached in high winds. It opens on the side, away from the chain, closes securely and is easier to open than the 'coated' varieties. It was more than worth the extra price, as I use it year round...a small piece of frozen suet on summer mornings gives extra treats + frozen peanut butter for the woodpeckers. It is so easy to clean which is essential for the health of our feathered friends.

Made from stainless steel this bird feeder cannot be destroyed by Cyril my squirrel. One side hinges down to make it child's play to fill with marzipan. I have two famillys of great tits that go bonkers for it. The feeder is easy to clean. I scrub it with a brush under running water &other whole thing is sparkling clean again. I love it, the birds love it. Cyril hates it. BRILLIANT!!!

This is a sturdy suet holder made of stainless steel. One of my main reasons for buying this brand is that it is made in the USA. A chain is provided for either hanging it on a hook or using some other method of using the chain. It is not mentioned in the description but there is also a wire handle that has bent ends that slip into holes that are on the sides of the holder and are provided for using the handle. I personally prefer using the handle rather than the chain. My reasoning is that the holder will be more stable than the chain during windy conditions. This holder has a pleasant appearance, can accomodate one suet cake and has a lifetime warranty against squirrel damage. I took off one star because, although it is well made, it arrived dented and poorly assembled. I was able to straighten the dents and perform the assembly but I feel that at the price I paid it should have been in better shape. Despite the shortcomings that were present when I received it I am satisfied with this suet holder.

I wanted a decent quality stainless suet cage. This is what the internet found me. The cages didn't seem to close properly, so I had to bend the metal a little bit. I've been using them for a while now and they haven't rusted, which is a good sign. These are really expensive for what they are, which greatly hurts the value of this product. I purchased two, and one was stolen by a raccoon.

I just bought one of the #PSF-S feeders through Amazon and was disappointed when it arrived to find the quote "heaby duty" chain is not stainless steel but clings to a magnet. Perhaps it is galvanized but galvanized chains eventually rust as the zinc is abraded away where the links make contact. In addition the top is bulged outward making it incredibly difficult to open. We do want a feeder that is harder for squirrels to open dumping the suet but it also needs to be easy enough to open to replace the suet. Unless I bend the bulged top inward to relive the extreme pressure on the two latching "fingers" this will not work for us. But if I do that it may not close tight enough and for this priced feeder I don't think I should have to be the one to take a chance on damaging it to make it work. I am considering returning it for another that hopefully won't be bulged and have emailed Droll Yankees to save me the trouble if they are all fabricated with the bulged top. I don't know if that's by design or a defect? I've also asked them if they realize the chain is not stainless? I ask because Chinese manufactureres often bid contracts below cost and provide top quality samples meeting all specs but later substitute cheaper materials to create their profit margin. (I have an entire book dedicated to that subject titled "Poorly made in China" since I manufacture products to correct lip-sync in home theater systems (Felston DD740) and our remotes are produced in China.) It is possible some earlier feeders had stainless chains and they aren't even aware that has changed. Of coures I see they make the "Assembled in the US" claim so perhaps it is the "chain" that they add locally in order to make that claim? Making the feeder of stainless is a good idea but the chain and its "s" hooks are still a weak link so the idea that it could last a lifetime seems implausible.
