One of THE albums of the whole UK82 Punk explosion, this was the Wheels debut LP and it hit No.3 in the UK Independent Chart. Eight bonus tracks have been added including the Indie Chart hits Army Song (No.24), Burn Em Down (No.14) and Vicious Circle (No.12). Features all of the bands recordings for the seminal and highly collectable Riot City Records.

the wheels
What an album from arguably yorkshires finest, as explained inside the album the band found it very difficult to record in a studio environment so they decided to play live and record the vocalist separate, and hey presto, a very raw and uncompromising album, you would have to be nuts not to own this classic

Thinking Man's Crumpet!
This album - by 4 hot-blooded lads from Leeds - was originally penned as an aural tribute to Carol "Hot Legs" Vauderman. This kind of got lost in the mix, but listen carefully to the words of 1982 and Slaughterhouse and you'll hear unavoidable references to Ms Countdown herself. Apparently Shonna (vocals) always had a thing for her after she helped him choose a lucky pen from Mr Stibblewhite's Stationery shop back in the late 70's.Unfortunately the band turned strangely rockabilly after this great release and were soon a spent force. A low point was when Nev was featured in "Sounds" magazine sporting a long quiff and declaring that the Stray Cats were "the best thing since Nanette Newman's aftershave ban on her hubby following the Brut 33 glut of 1976".When the Wheels go marching in, when the Wheels go marching in, I want to be in that packing case, when the Wheels go marching in...
