CONSTRUCTIONAs a new Amazon seller I bought 1000 of these. They certainly do offer an excellent value. Shipping label stuck to them easily and they did not tear very easy at all. I tried and it took considerable effort. I am a grown man, and I could not see ever tearing these on accident. Also the self sticking tape worked great. Once you seal these, they are not coming unsealed. They are closed. Period. No extra tape required. I bought them from ValueMailers. I do know that depending on the seller you buy them from they can be good or bad. So I'll always buy from that seller as long as their price is competitive.NOTE ON PROTECTIVE NATUREI ship DVD cases and video games. Because these mailers do not have the 1/2" border around the edges (even if they did they are so flexible it would do no good) like some padded paper or plastic mailers they do not protect as well from edge impact during shipping. Also since the plastic is very flexible they do not distribute the shock as much as a kraft padded mailers if something impacts the flat surface of the mailer. You see the padded Kraft mailer is closer to cardboard in terms of rigidness than these.MAKE SURE YOU CONSIDER LABORYou can get padded paper mailers for around $0.20 a piece. These plain poly mailers can be had for around $0.04. However, once I paid for at least two sheets of bubble wrap and for someone to double wrap every DVD and video game I shipped I was paying more than if I just mailed in a decent padded kraft mailer. And, honestly I feel the games were safer with no wrapping in a padded mailer than double wrapped in these. I usually mail a few hundred items a month. So I am switching to the Kraft padded mailers now and will let you know if my damaged during shipping rates seem to go up, down, or just stay the same.SUMMARYTo sum up these were constructed excellently. They did not tear. The self seal strip was easy to use. However with padded mailers you can mail the item unwrapped. These poly mailers will require you to wrap every item. Unless you are mailing soft or flexible items like ties or shirts. In which case you have it made with these. Because they are pretty excellent otherwise.

Great mailers!
I buy these from "ValueMailers" and I Love these envelopes! I have used almost a thousand of them so far with no problems! Thick plastic, no problems with tearing or security. Impossible to see through and secure adhesive flap makes these very safe for shipping clothing and other fabric items. I have not had one complaint about these not delivering my merchandise safely. These are also lightweight so I save a ton on shipping by using these! These are a must have for me!

Good for small stuff
Great. The 7.5 x 10.5 is a great size for shipping small things. I wouldn't use a smaller bag than this because it seems it would increase the odds the package would be lost. These bags are durable. I've had no issues with them ripping unintentionally or any problems with the adhesive strip at the top.

As an online seller, I use these a LOT
I *love* these bags. Great value, great product. As an online seller, I use these bags constantly. I have been increasing my online business and I use about 100 of these per week. I use them for books, I use them for jewelry (along with bubblewrap and a piece of cardboard for support), and I use them for anything else that will fit and work appropriately. I also use other sizes of the same product for books, clothes, etc.

Cellophane adhesive strip cover sticks to your hand
Bags are strong and resilient but my second order of these had cellophane adhesive strips that stuck to your hand from static electricity. I tried powder and water and still couldn't get the cellophane to release from my hand after removing it from the adhesive strip. Just annoying enough to make you buy a different bag.

Seller changes-Beware of who you buy these from!
I know that this item (poly bags) changes sellers often even though they are suppose to be selling the same item this is not necessarily the case...Beware of who you buy these from since most sellers are now selling a cheaper quality. I originally bought these from Valuemailers and received the thinner ones with a thin black film lining (not lt grey like in the description or picture). I contacted them thru email and their customer service was TERRIIBLE! The guy I dealt with was rude and argumentative! They didn't send me what was in the description or the picture and they didn't have the ones I ordered either. They said these were the only ones they carry. I was very dissapointed to say the least!I then bought these bags from AMAMAX and I have to say they are the only company that I found that ships what they show in the picture and description. They only carry the ones with the lt grey lining(I checked directly with them to make sure before buying other sizes). Since they are a direct importer of these bags they only sell this type. Not only did I receive a high quality mailer, their customer service was also very helpful (and friendly). Now I only buy my polybags from AMAMAX. They still belive in delivering what they claim to. I will never buy these from any other seller (especially NOT Valuemailers).I give AMAMAX a 5 and Valuemailers a 0!

I've been using the bags for awhile now and no problems whatsoever. They are sturdy and thick enough to withstand handling by USPS and they are opaque, so the contents do not show through. Great product and great seller!
