I was very excited about getting this book after reading the other reviews and the books title. But, the title is VERY misleading. After just a couple of pages in you read how it's against the law to cook food at home for sale. The whole premise of the book is how to SET UP AN OFFICE AT HOME for your off-site catering business!Very dissapointing!With that being said... The information provided for setting up your office, marketing etc... Is very good, but it's not what the title promices.

This offers wonderful information on set-up and great tips on how to get into the field without killing yourself or your budget.

This book is a great resource for anyone interested in starting a food business. It covers all of the basics thoroughly by someone who has been in the business and knows what talking about. Great starter guide, gives good guidance.

It is hard to know if a book is good until you've opened it up and see for yourself. When I received it and started reading, first found that the pages in the first sections were not in order. That has to do with the printer. It made for very difficult reading. But besides that, I felt it was not the information that I was looking for. I suppose it would be good if you are wanting to know more about the business aspect and how to make money, but as far as practical information on operating a catering business--it fell short. There was not enough information on things like: how to set up a buffet table properly or in creative ways, and other things. I guess I am more interested in the service part of catering and how to go about it. Have not found a good book to help in that respect.

This book has many answers to questions I had. I believe it will help people who are planing to start a catering service business. Gives good tips, it does not give too many details though. I consider it was a good investment.

This book truly helped me in starting my catering business. The samples of forms etc. were perfect for someone just starting out. Since I purchased the book I have been hired for three professional events ranging from 40 to 170 guest! Each event has been a success due to all the preparation this book afforded me and profitable! I have been color and entertaining for decades. This book has conceded every question I had about starting my catering business! I totally recommend it to any startup caterer.

Good quality. Boring book
