Westmark Cheese Slicer with sharp blade, Variable cutting thickness, Retro design, Stainless steel/aluminium/plastic, Fromarex, White/Red/Silver, 7000RT60

We have for many years been daily using a cheese board with a tension loaded wire arm to cut the cheese. Three wires have broken in less than 3 months. Replacement wires are now unobtainable and it is utterly impossible to fit non-customised replacement wire. Our search for a better cheese board proved frustrating, with users reporting similar issues on virtually all of them. Then we took a closer look at the Westmark slicer, which we had initially ignored because of its appearance and the fact it has a non-wire cutter. We decided to order and, we have to say, we have been immediately won over by this product. It has a firm and stable base, a guide arm to keep the cheese square as you cut it and a simple adjustment to adjust to the thickness you require. Easy and simple to use, the board is easy to keep clean and there is far less mess! Some very mature hard cheeses can crumble a little as you cut, but most cut cleanly, easily and efficiently. Thoroughly recommended - pity we did not buy one years ago!

What a great little cheese cutter! I was cutting waffer thin slivers of cheese, cucumber and anything else in no time at all. Consistently accurate thickness and way better than the wire ones. Possibly a teeny bit overpriced for what it is but I'd recommend one all the same. Cheeeeese!

This is an extremely nifty machine which I bought to cut up large chunks of cheese so I could break a big one into freezeable pieces. Previously an opened packet of cheese either went green or dried because I didn't eat it fast enough. I have slightly arthritic hands and this was excellent and worked beautifully. I would have preferred metal, this is entirely plastic, but it is small enough to store easily and works beautifully. So why no 5 stars? Well because there is no blade guard and as such is quite dangerous placed anywhere where there is a child. It cuts so well it looks like a fun thing to do and as such is extremely attractive to kids. Cleaning the blade was quite tricky too as the blade cut through the cloth and nicked my finger. All in all I was extremely pleased with it.

When it arrived a part had fallen out, which meant it did not operate and other bits then fell out. I am not techy and not a bloke, so It took me nearly an hour to put the contraption together again, but with persistence, after an hour, I managed to fit it all together. It's just red plastic bits which fit together. A bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle really. Anyway, if you are lucky, it will arrive in perfect shape to use. And it's better than using wire cutters. It is VERY SHARP so be careful.

Not delighted butIt's solidly constructedEasy to figure outHowever, not so much "slicing" cheese as crumbling precision measured wadges off the end.Maybe Ulster cheese is just too hard.My sister loves it and is the main user.The edge of the blade is curling back on itself but hasn't affected the performance.

Quality is okay,I like that is lightweight and easy to clean, the blade is sharp enough, and safe to use.Have it for a while now and so far no issues, It does a very good job.

Blade it to thick so cheese just falls apart and does not cut as a slice. Sent back for full refund but if they can get one with a much thinner blade it would be great.

Very good cuts cheese, potato, cucumber, that is all I have tried so far.So pleased bought another one for a gift. Highly recommend.

Perfect! Could not find other cheese cutters with sturdy knives. This one is very heavy duty and has a measurement tool to. Make sure each piece comes out even.
