Works fine
I only needed to open up an entry point for the awning and it did that ok don’t know how it would cope with a large run to fix seems quite light for heavy use

Does not fit
I have a 2020 Elddis Affinity & part of the awning rail has closed a tiny bit, so i got this product to open it. It doesn’t fit into the awning rail, i’d say its 1-2mm too wide, even on the thinnest end. As others have said, its the only one that seems to be on the market, but its not fit for purpose. A waste of time & no real solution available currently.

A small redesign would make this a better tool
The description said this was one piece tool. It's not! The end pieces fall off, if like me, you had an awning rail channel that had been closed up considerably somehow. If the end parts were welded on it would be far more useful. The other major issue was that the bar connecting the 2 ends is a square section, so when forcing it through thhe awning rail channel, the relatively sharp sides of the bar start shaving the aluminium, leaving sharp edges which have to be filed down.Having said all that, it did actually open the channel so I could fit a the draught curtain, and after I hammered the ends back on, it shouldbe servicable if i ever need it again.

Ideal for my awning rail
This is a small tool with two ends. 8mm & 6mm. Just needed to ensure WD40 in the rail and gentle taps as well as a wiggle and job done. I’ve seen videos where people have bent theirs but to be honest, if they did bend it whilst using it, either they’re not using it correctly or their awning rail should be replaced instead. Great tool IMO

Shoddy bit of tat
As others have indicated in their reviews, this is a shoddy bit of tat poorly assembled & made of low grade material. I needed it to re-shape the awning skirt rail which is of a more pliable material than the awning rail itself. I felt that I was bringing this tool close to its physical limits. By careful handling it did an ok job, but I am not sure how it would have stood up on the more rigid upper rail. It could easily have been made with better materials & more care taken in assembly. It is cheap, but borders on being cheap & nasty. So, if it had cost more, it would be well worth the extra. However, it doesn't appear that there is a better version available. Consider that it may be a single use item & accept it at the price.

fantastic tool
I bought this as the awning rail somehow got squashed near the step. It worked a treat and opened up the rail. The awning skirt now slides through a treat.
