It is helpful to explain graphic novels and then read one with or to child first. Then ask child to write one of his own using this book! It encourages imagination.

Our 6YO, who is working on writing and is learning to read comics (Spidey and his Amazing Friends, Cat Kid Comic Club, Captain Underpants), loved filling in this blank comic book. The book and paper are nice quality, thicker than coloring book paper, and while we didn't use marker yet, I don't expect to see bleed through.

My son loved this book when I gave it to him at 6 years old, and I have repurchased the book a couple times since because he used up all the pages. His comics are hilarious! The paper is nice for pencils, pens, and markers. There is some bleed through pages with markers when they're used heavily, but not excessively so. The layout of comic squares is helpful for prompting storytellers to create something unique. The book cover is thick like card stock, but the book is not heavy. We've taken the comic book with us on road trips and it can keep him busy for hours.

Got this for my son for Christmas and he LOVES it. His little imagination has taken a break from video games to create his own comic. I admire his commitment to the same story line vs making several stories in one book. Very cool idea, and I think any parent would love to watch their kids imagination come to life with this book! 6 stars in my opinion!

I forgot it was divided into cells. It will be fun, but limiting for the way I like to draw. But the paper is pretty nice and lots of pages!

The book has frames where kids can draw cartoon stories. My nephew absolutely love it. Highly recommended for gifting to kids

I bought this for Christmas for my son and he absolutely loves it. He's made quite a few different stories in the book. However, I wish the pages were more varied in their layout. That's my gripe, though. My son is very happy with it so that's all that matters.

My son is 9 and loves to make his own comics. He was very excited and immediately started getting creative.

Bought as an extra little gift for my 9yo for Christmas.He has said it’s his favourite gift. He uses it most days to create his own comic strips and stories. We’ve had lots of others who he’s shown it to ask us where they can purchase too. Highly recommended for creative comic book lovers.

The best spring break gift for kids

Bought this for my nephew aged 7 for Christmas alongside some new crayons and pencils! (He likes drawing comics) I’m now the worlds best aunt!! Beat all other presents to be the best!!

I should have looked for images of the inside. Every page is identical. My kids never used this one because there are few comic book options you can create that is exactly the same every page.
