The Blueberry Pie Elf

My favorite childhood book, sparked a lifelong love of Blueberry Pie
I spent years looking for this book. There is another version with different illustrations in paperback, but this is the one I remember and loved as a child. Great lessons in tidyiness and perseverance and in good things come to those who wait and help pitch in and think creatively about how to convey their message and to write thank you notes!

Great book from my childhood
This is my favorite book since I was a child. I read it so may times when I was younger that it simply tore apart. I was so happy to find another copy! I shared it with my students and they loved hearing about the helpful little pile elf as well.

Favorite Childhood Book!
This was my absolutely favorite story as a child. When my children were young it was, unfortunately, out of print. Now that they are grown up and I am ready for grandchildren (though I only have a grand-niece so far), I was delighted to find this beautiful hardcover version to share! The pictures are exactly as I remembered them and I have given a couple as gifts and, of course, purchased one for myself! Recommend to anyone who loves to share an engaging story with a littler person in their life!

Blueberry Pie Elf is WONDERFUL!
This was my favorite book as a child. It got too expensive to buy a copy because it was out of print and apparently lots of people's favorite book! But now that it's reprinted, I am happy to get a new copy that has the exact same illustrations and even the same dust jacket as the original! Perfect! It's the story of a sweet elf who lives with a family and does things to help them, but since no one can see an elf and no one can hear an elf, they don't know it. Then they make a wonderful blueberry pie that he samples, and he is so happy! But after that, no more blueberry pie. He does lots of things to try and get them to make a blueberry pie, but nothing helps until...read it and see!Adorable vintage illustrations and good manners taught to children with humor and fun on every page.: )

Oldie, But Goodie
This was my favorite book as a child, so I was anxious to share it with my own children. I'm glad to see that there haven't been any major changes done to the book over time - it's just like I remember it. It doesn't have the exciting, vibrant pictures that most current children's books do, but the story is so fun. My daughter loved it! The price was great too - I've been searching used book shops/sites and the only copies I could find cost at least 3 times as much. I am very happy with my purchase

Great story for kids!
This is such a fun story, adorable/ not boring at all. Just enough words per page.

This is possibly the best children's book of all time
This is possibly the best children's book of all time! I was so glad to see it in print again, as the original I had was lost somewhere along the way! It's a simple, but beautiful story of a little elf, who learns, through trial and error, how to communicate with those who don't even know he exists!

We LOVE "The Blueberry Pie Elf"!
I don't remember where or when I bought a Parent's Book Club copy of "The Blueberry Pie Elf", but all of our four girls have loved that book with the soft pastel colors and the story line of the little elf who craved blueberry pie so much that he worked hard all around his people's home until they finally noticed. You see, nobody can see an elf, hear an elf, or feel an elf, so only his footprints.... I can't give away the rest of the story. We read it so frequently to our girls and then to our oldest grandson who also loved it that the dust jacket tore, and the book was getting really worn. When I realized that it had been republished exactly as the original, I bought five copies, enough for all four of our girls and one for me. Now all five of our grandchildren will have the joy of knowing Elmer, "The Blueberry Pie Elf"!

Kids love it!
I bought this book because my mother told me that my older siblings loved it when they were kids. You can tell it is an old book as things don't move so fast and it takes a while for the best bit to come, but it is worth the wait.My daughter loves it and often requests it, she was 2 when we bought it. She has always sat well for a story so it was age appropriate for her at that time.I like reading it and feel like I am passing on something that both her aunties enjoyed as kids.
