Outdoorer Helios beach shelter, UV 60, extremely light, small pack size

Bought for "round the world" sabbatical to protect my fiancee who suffers in the sun, limiting her beach time / happiness.I am a keen hiker who has gone through early 20s "festival tent / shelter" pain and now invests in good kit that isn't just disposable one use only - like most of the cheap shelters I looked at before finding thisI think the company is Swiss from looking at the website - the comms and despatch were top-quality and no issues (even if there had been I got the impression they would be quickly sorted out), and the shelter purchased is excellent and cracking engineering for the priceThe stitching looks bomb-proof, plastic tabs resist strong tensile (pulling) forces, poles no issues. Excellent size - deployed it fits me (6'2") and my fiancee (5'7"). Packed size is tiny (cylindrical) and ultra-light weight is incredible - will easily go in my backpack and be used repeatedly on many many beaches in South East Asia and beyond.Pay the cash and get something worthwhile that can be used again and again (we've used this already in a London Park over summer for picknicking).Definately our new favourite purchase - thanks all at outdoorer!

Arrived promptly and well packaged. A well constructed lightweight shelter which will easily pack in our suitcase and we will take with us on holiday to put up on the beach, when we go on picnics or fishing. It has easy instructions and straightforward assembly and should last with care putting up and taking down.

Great little sun shade. Lightweight and packs down to a small size so doesn't significantly add to the piles of stuff you need when visiting the beach. The pegs supplied are not helpful for dry sand but are fine on grass. The weight of our bags and other beach stuff inside the tent weighted it down sufficiently that it didn't behave like a big kite and blow away, it wasn't very windy though. Am not too sure how much sun protection the tent offers as saw no upf rating. You could still feel the heat of the sun through the tent and you therefore did get hot sat inside it. In terms of size, it was fine for 2 small children and an adult to gain relief from the sun on an otherwise unsheltered beach. Will look onto whether the fabric can be treated to improve its protection from the sun as have read is possible with tents in general. The small size and simple assembly made this product a winner on our holiday and fitted easily onto our luggage.

Well worth the money. Easy to put up and take down.Really compact fits easily it a suitcase or bag,lightweight but well constructed.Big enough to fit two adults with room to spare. With a towel draped over the top was lovely and shady even in the heat.Definitely one of my better buys.

We bought this to provide shelter from the sun. Bear in mind that inside gets really hot and there are no air vents in this shelter. I would recommend this product as a wind protector but would not recommend for those that are going to hot places. Apart of this, the product is steady, easy to assemble and very compact when put back.

Fast Delivery well made product good price £22.95, light fairly easy to put up but the long pole is bit tricky needs a lot of bending was afraid I would rip something but was ok and my first time of putting the shelter up.Glad I didn't go for the cheaper ones on amazon this shelter should last a long time.

Arrived in good time and well packed. Extremely light and compact and very easy to put up. Bought it for a sun holiday for my three year old and my niece and nephew. They all fitted in with ease and loved being in it. What I didn't expect from it is that now back from holidays my son wants to put it up all the time to play in so not only did it do it's job perfectly it has also doubled as a play tent for my little one.

Not used yet, made it up in living room, and was pretty easy, light and well made. FIngers crossed it will be OK when we use it. We plan to use it for days out at airshows etc, mostly to protect from sun.

Super Zelt. Wir haben es uns kurzfristig für unseren Mallorcaurlaub bestellt. Es ist leicht und klein und passt perfekt in den Koffer. Der Zusammenbau ist easy und geht mit etwas Routine ganz schnell. Für uns war es genau das Richtige.

It’s good, it does what it needs to, but it’s super warm. Next time i would buy one with a mosquito window net, to have some airflow

Einfache, kleine Strandmuschel. Sehr einfach auf- und abzubauen. Am Strand hat sie auch über Nacht dem Wind standgehalten, wir haben sie innen mit Steinen beschwert, damit sie nicht wegfliegt. Hat es gut ausgehalten.Passt nach dem Abbauen auch wieder gut in die mitgelieferte Tasche.Klare Kaufempfehlung.
