I bought this supplement because I saw a video about the MTHFR gene variants and had some of the same issues they mentioned in the video and the video stated that one of the issues w/ some variants is that some people can't utilize B12/B1(and others?) efficiently, because they can't process it well, and this version of the B vitamins is already processed (methylated), and ready for the body to use. Starting day two I have had significant increase in energy (stopped using caffeine), and not 'buzzy' energy either, I just feel like I have plenty of energy to do the things I want to do all day and have not taken a nap in over six weeks, nor felt like it. Other benefits have been significant mood improvement and sleeping much much better. It states to take it with food so I just get up and take it with a small banana or yogurt in the morning. Pill is small and easy to swallow and I don't find there is a taste when taking it. I don't know what typical benefits are (if any) for most people I can only report that I am very happy I started taking this supplement. Generally speaking people should talk with their doctor about their health concerns and questions.

My doctor told me basically that I have a defective gene, and need to take a 5-mthf type supplement . Choose basigano 1st off because I liked the adorable brain/heart graphic!; but more seriously, also because of the added ginger to ease digestion which is a big criticism of other brands. I've had zero issues with digestion and the capsules are easy to swallow. Can't really speak regarding increased energy since my schedule's radically changed since starting- entirely possible that I've been able to cope better because of the increased b vitamins. One things for sure, my hair and nails are growing like gangbusters for the first time in my life!

Absorbed fast into my system. I was feeling less depressed after 1 week but please keep in mind my folate/folic acid level was extremely low. Have your doctor take a blood test before taking this.

I liked that this product was easy to swallow and gentle on the system (no nasty after taste or smell) and affordable. I did feel better after about a week of taking them, my mood was better and i felt like i had more energy. Them being plantbased is also a bonus.
