I mean what can I say!!! It is PPPAAAUUULLL VVVAAANNN DDDYYYKKK AT HIS ABSOLUT BEST!!! I discovered trance music and EDM in general in 2008 because I listened to for an angel!!! fell in love with EDM. Now i own albums from PVD, ATB, ARMIN, TIESTO, ORJAN NILSEN, MARKUS SCHULTS, ERIC PRYDZ, DEADMAU5, KASKADE, AFROJACK and my library is ever groing thanks to my favorite DJ/MUSIC PRODUCER!!! Awesome remixes by Paul Van Dyk. He could have cut it in half and made 2 great releases, there are quite a few songs over 38. I've been a fan since the bass driven 'out there and back'. I've always thought Van Dyk was a great remixer.

Some Beats, Finely-Spun!
This is truly some fine DJ-ing; but what would we expect from an artist of VanDyk's stature? Overall, I found the work abrasive. I tend to prefer slightly less agressive pounding in the overall tone. I need a nice beat, don't get me wrong, but the repetetive-percussive high-tones wear on me after a while. My own preferences aside, the artistry is undeniably keen. The selection, ordering, and manipulation of the tracks is well done to the consistancy of each mix. There are definite themes without total redundancy; the balance between each track and its mix overall is nice. I personally liked the second one a lot better, but I probably won't play it over and over again--even at the gym. For the money, there's a lot of other great trance out there from lesser known figures of equal talent.

Excellent album!! Almost every track on the cd is fantastic! Highly recommend if you are a pvd fan! Looking forward to another release of vonyc sessions.
