Brace plastic broke after barely 90 days
It started out decent but this brace broke during tightening in barely over 90 days without heavy use.Maybe if you know you need an affordable brace for the short-term, it would be ok.It did do the hinge adjustments with the tool. I found it slid down my leg no matter how much I could tighten it. (--I wore it over pants--maybe it's better over stretch pants or skin?)A feature I thought was clever is that at the ends of the straps, there are two-sided velcro patches so you can remove the attaching velcro to trim excess strap and then stick the velcro back on the new end. (The instructions didn't explain that and I initially thought I had to cut off the opposite-velcro end to trim it--but I discovered the removable patch before I did it.)

Decent quality knee brace
The FocuBooDy hinged right knee brace arrived in a ziploc plastic bag inside its own white box along with a 10-page user manual as well as a plastic bag containing a small screwdriver and hex wrench and a number of metal extension/flexion angle adjusters. As a physician, I am accustomed to seeing various knee braces and knee immobilizers, and was generally satisfied by the build quality of this knee brace. The hinged knee brace measures approximately 14" vertically on full extension. There are four black plastic buckles: two on the lower thigh above the knee and two on the leg below the knee. The Velcro straps associated with each buckle are plenty long and remain snugly closed once fitted. The straps are well sewn. My main gripe are the poor quality buckles. Instead of squeezing two latches from the sides to open, you open these by pressing a flat button in the center and pulling the other end out. They are difficult to open and do not appear to be very durable. Hopefully, they can be replaced by better quality buckles.I ordered the knee brace for repeated bouts of inflammatory arthritis in my right knee. Fortunately, I am between those bouts at this time. While a generic knee brace will never fit as well as a medically prescribed device fitted by an orthotist, it does not cost nearly as much. The hinged knee brace allows active flexion and extension of the knee but does offer some resistance to normal walking. This stability can be helpful with arthritis, as there is a sense of instability in the knee when it flares up. It can be helpful following ligament injury as a result of sports or fall, as well as part of the post-operative knee rehabilitation after progressing from knee immobilizers, which prevent flexion or extension altogether. The manufacturer offers a six-month warranty on the device. The instructions state that the black inner pads on the brace can be hand washed and air dried. The plastic shell and other parts should only be cleaned with a wet towel. Based upon my initial fitting and trial of the FocuBooDy hinged right knee brace, I am awarding it 4 stars.

No Instructions
This knee brace looks to be made of good materials. It comes with 2 tools and a bag of different sized pieces for adjustment of the knee brace. The problem is that there are absolutely no instructions for itās use. Iāve never had a knee brace like this before, so I donāt have existing knowledge to build from. After looking at it for a while, I think that I can piece together a general idea of how the tools and pieces work. I really wish that it came with documentation that could substantiate my thoughts and Iād also like to know for sure that the adjustments are correct for my needs because I couldnāt really say that I could really feel a lot of support. That may very well be because I donāt have it adjusted correctly but how would I know? I will reach out to the seller to see if they can send me some kind of directions but Iām very disappointed that it did not come with what I needed. Even if they email directions, I will have to print something that should have been provided. As I said, the knee brace does look to be good quality. Nothing about it seems subpar. The Velcro is strong and has good hold. It can be cut shorter if needed but is long enough to even fit larger sizes. The Velcro straps can even be replaced if needed as they arenāt ābuilt inā but adjusted on both sides. That would give longevity to the knee brace as the whole brace would not need to be replaced when/if the Velcro ages and starts to fail. Having different adjustments hopefully would help target a personās specific needs. I canāt say that for sure due to the lack of instruction manual, but it seems like that is a reasonable deduction. Very disappointed that I am not able to use it right out of the box when received.

Walking Support
Broke the tibia & P/T didn't help much but, this brace controlled my balance & able to walk without pain. The brace does rub on the thigh so added a leg sleeve to stop rubbing. It does have to be assembled which was easy.
