Excellent tool!
Excellent tool. Saved my bacon. Ford dealer wanted $42 each for the four stripped out bolts. That’s $128 for 4 bolts. This tool saved the bolts. I’m a happy man. It’s drop dead easy to use with a good bench vise holding the bolts. I recommend using a bit of cutting oil for best results.

Cool idea, not built strong enough
It worked good...three times. Broke on the third use. Great if you're repairing smaller, softer bolts though.

Fantastic !!
Works PERFECTLY to restore Tapcon-type 1/4" - 20 Concrete Hurricane Anchors !I had 7 anchors that I could not get a wing nut on, they were completely jammed. Ran this baby over each anchor twice, then brushed with a little Stainless Steel wire brush, and the wing nuts spun on like new ! Took less that 15 minutes to repair all 7 anchors. Cleaned the threads right up to the concrete wall too.A must have product for any homeowner with hurricane shutters held by concrete anchors. 5 Stars.

This thing really works!
Great tool! After looking at a handful of this design, I chose this one because it works for both metric and standard. And boy does it work. I saw that one of the reviewers broke one, and maybe it was defective, but I can tell you: if it's hard to turn you have it on too tight. Just tighten it down with two fingers and no strain and it'll do the rest. Faster and easier than thread restoring files, more universal, and easier than dies. It's only shortcoming is that it's not going to work on really short studs - you probably need 3/8"-1/2" of thread length to work with.

Fixed the bunged up threads easily
Sometimes you end up doing something you later find out wasn't such a good idea. Like pounding (albeit gently) on a tie rod ball joint threaded stud with a 2.5lb hammer to push it out of it's home. Yep, like that.I originally bought a tap & die set, but unfortunately, it didn't contain the M10x1.25 die I needed. So back here to see what other options. This one is a lot easier to use and since I only had 3 threads that were messed up, but preventing the nut from spinning down, this tool offered the right solution. Within 2 minutes, we were able to clean up the the threads and get the nut on smoothly without any further damage.

Tool is worthless
Tried to repair left hand threads on a bike petal. The blades tried to follow thread but had hard time cutting and turning and then the blades would flex apart making problem worse. The instructions did not even show how to switch the blades to cut left hand threads, had to look on youtube. Person on youtube made it looked easy. It could not separate the smashed and crossed threads. You have to have a lot a strength to turn tool when it comes to the smashed threads. In fact when opening the tool to switch back the blades, it looks like the knob screw was beginning to cross thread and smash. There is up to a 1/4" flex in the blades that makes the blades jump and skip making the problem worse than what you began with. Would have been cheaper to buy a new bike pedal with way less frustration. So mad, threw tool in a near by river.
