As opposed to the several collections of M/M erotica I have been reviewing recently, this one impressed me as being perfectly legitimate as far as copyright details are concerned. That was comforting. On another plane, this collection was clearly meant as erotica more than outright porn. This statement does not imply any judgement of value whatsoever (I like M/M romances with little or no sex, erotica and outright porn indiscriminately) but may be of interest to those readers who are looking for stories with sex in it and not sex scenes with some sort of setting around them.As a general criticism I am afraid that several things have escaped the editor's attention: there were several typos thoroughout and in "Conditioning" I got the distinct impression that the name of the two characters were switched in several sentences. As far as the actual collection is concerned, it is very varied. SF meshes with historical (just one) and contemporary with characters from every walk of life but a predilection for underdogs and losers, a thing I tend to find unappealing if it is not dealt with extreme skill, which does not always happen.Quality is also uneven. The short by the editor, Ms Kitt, is possibly the best but would have been much better developped with far more pages. My personal favourite is the raunchy science fiction by Mr Dahll which is light hearted, sexy and interesting at the same time.Mr Atlas' is possibly just as good but I had to fight my irritation at a character who seems unable to contain his submissiveness in his own bedroom and therefore is amply responsible for all the accidents that happen to him: a personal problem of mine that could leave other readers unfazed or even intrigued.Mr Magnus' short did not really belong to a "gay" short story collection (and I saw what was coming from page one).I downloaded this for free, I am not sure I should be ready to pay its full price.
