How on earth did I manage to miss out on this splendid artist for so long
I have only recently heard of this guy, by accident while looking through my Amazon list of recommendations.I suggest anybody who was/is into early seventies, serious music such as Peter Green, Nick Drake, Rodriguez, James Taylor, Eric Clapton ect, really should check out this album, as Alan James (Bugsy) Eastwood is up there with the best of them. I am amazed that the ex The Exception (60s group) lead singer and drummer, was not a major artist of his time.It is really not too surprising that this excellently produced 1971 (but sadly deleted) album, was fetching up to £150 per copy, before the 2014 CD (with extra tracks) was issued. My good pal and fellow fan of 70s singer/songwriter music was so impressed with it he immediately ordered a copy.I shall leave others to categorise and pigeonhole Alan James Eastwood's, music style.Sadly Alan, a singer songwriter musician from Birmingham passed away suddenly on the 25th October 2007, or he could have now received the highly deserved recognition that Rodriguez is at last now receiving, retrospectively, some forty odd years later.I recommend and urge that you at least give the MP3 intro a listen and I am sure that many of you will be ordering a copy of the CD or MP3 to add to your collection.RIP Alan, sadly you should have been a star but posthumously you still could and should be a star. Thanks for leaving us the legacy of your music.
