Sturdy
Incredibly sturdy. I've taken off the carrying strap as it makes clamping one of the legs very awkward.

To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this tripod. It is solidly designed and built and everything functions smoothly. It has enough mass to stand firmly, yet is light enough to pack around. A very good value. As with most similar tripods, it has a 5/8-11 male threaded fitting. I bought an adapter from Amazon so that I could also use equipment with a 1/4-20 female connection. Very happy with this purchase.

Lighweight option
Bought to replace a heavy wooden tripod, suprised to see its made in India but its well made. Maybe not the one to throw around a building site all day long but for home use its fine and a lot less weight than my old one. Mounted a Manfroto video head on it by replacing the center bolt. Now handles small scopes with ease.
