Great Bang for the $$
I purchased this as a gift for someone, but I tried it out before gifting it. LOL I love the size and the AAA battery is easy to get anyplace. it seems well made and for its size nice and bright. The fit and finish is very good. I carry an Olight T-10 and I love it but I knew the person I was buying it for wouldn't want one that big and the CR123 batteries are expensive. I knew this size was small enough that she would carry it with her all the time and it's bright enough to change a tire or walk a trail or signal traffic on a dark road. the strobe feature I find works well to draw attention when walking or stuck along a road. For it's size and price it is a great light with just enough features that you can remember how to use them if you don't use it every day. I have been thinking about ordering a few more for gifts because I was impressed with the size and performance of this little light. I would recommend this light to others. The only thing I noticed and read on another persons review is the triangle that connects the key chain to the light seems like it might loosen and let the light fall off. I replaced that with a heavy duty mini ring that I had laying around from another project other wise it is great out of the box. I wanted to update this review. I liked this little light so much I kept it for myself and ordered two more of them for gifts. I recommend them to anyone looking for a very high quality, small light that you can clip on your keys and not know that you added something to your key ring, with a reversible clip that can be clipped to your hat brim and is very bright!!! Then this is hands down the light for you!!!!! Some time over the winter I dropped my light with my backhoe key on it. After looking for a month or so I figured I lost it for good and ordered another one. The following week I was raking stones that had been mixed in the snow and I raked up my John Deere Key and My Ti3 light. The best thing is I wiped it off with a damp soft cloth and it was still working like new, in fact it didn't even have any scratches on it. I love these little lights!!! OK I purchased 4 of these lights because I was so impressed by the first one, However the last one I purchased would only come on in low mode. I figured from not being used much the battery may have gone dead so I got a new battery and now I get nothing out of the light I tried another new battery and nothing the batteries all work fine in the other lights so I guess there was some sort of failure. I will try and contact the manufacture and see if or what kind of warranty they have. I will post more once I see how I make out.

Actually lives up to the hype! Absolutely superb pocket light for 'always and anywhere' carry!
The ThruNite Ti3 NW Mini EDC Cree XP-G2 R5 LED flashlight is truly outstanding. It rivals my other favorite AAA pocket light, the Streamlight Microstream, offering more features and equivalent durability in a slightly smaller form factor. The advantage of the Ti3 is that it has multiple modes for users who want more flexible illumination options than the Microstream's simpler ON/OFF functionality. The Ti3 has very low ("firefly"), medium, and high settings, all of which are accessed by rotating the head (no tailswitch) and are relatively easy to cycle through. If you cycle through them twice, you can also access a hidden strobe function, which I consider pointless since I don't like strobe modes, but if you do, then you'll be pleased. Since the mode is "hidden" and can only be accessed by deliberately cycling through all of the modes twice, I find it unobtrusive (unlike on many other lights), so it doesn't bother me. (I hate, hate, hate lights that force you to cycle through strobe, which fortunately isn't the case here.) What really 'shines' about this light--pun, intended--is its remarkably slim form factor: barely larger than the size of a single AAA battery, plus the negligible added length of the LED and reflector assembly. If you want a light that you can carry anywhere and always, and forget that you have it with you, this is hands down your best bet. There are smaller peanut lights, but in my opinion, going any smaller will make the light less usable because harder to hold. This is just the perfect size for the smallest possible usable light. And what will really wow you are the smartly chosen illumination options. Most of the time for casual 'light your path' scenarios, you'll want the medium setting, which offers a moderately bright 12 lumen beam that will run for a little over 6 hours on a single AAA battery. For close-up reading or map checking, the very low "firefly" mode will shine 0.04 lumens for a little over 100 hours. And for urgent, high illumination needs--like trying to find someone who fell over the side of the boat at night, or attempting to signal someone at great distance or during twilight hours--the high mode shines a truly impressive 120 lumens for approximately 35 minutes (or about twice that long in the hidden strobe mode). On high, the beam is startlingly clean and bright, giving the impression that you're using a substantially larger light. I'm genuinely impressed. Even if I don't find a need for the high beam very often, I think it has practical applications that certainly make it more than a gimmick and worth including. If you want sheer simplicity (and to save a couple of bucks), you still might prefer the no-frills Microstream, which is a little longer and heavier, (but not by much), and undeniably simpler: on or off (no extra modes) and easily activated by tailswitch. If I had to choose only one, I'd lean in favor of the Ti3. The addititional modes are well-implemented without feeling obtrusive; the twist-to-activate head works fine and can still be operated one-handed; the slim size and light weight are phenomenal; and the pocket clip is very nice (fits very securely and can be reversed for added functionality/versatility). I carry mine clipped to a loop of webbing on my StealthGear AIWB holster for my Sig P290RS. That way, I always have a light with me when I concealed carry, and I don't even notice it's there until I need it. If you're looking for a brilliant little light that runs on a single AAA and can be carried always/anywhere, this is going to be very hard to beat. At $20 or less, it is a steal! HIGHLY recommended!

Prima impressione: piccolissima e potente!

For the first 30 seconds I was like "that's it?" Then I glanced at the instructions, gave it another twist, and another, and wow, this thing packs a lot of light into a seriously small package. It is the diameter of a AA battery and stands about 50% taller. It uses one AAA battery. There is no button or focus, you twist it to light it. Twist again for medium. Twist again for full strength. There is a clip for a pocket or a hat, and the clip does flip both ways to do either of those right. What might be improved? There is a keychain clasp on a flimsy chain, which might make a good safety when the light is attached with the clip. But I wouldn't trust the clasp by itself, some sort of lanyard would be better. And I like buttons, twisting is an awkward design. Especially when you need to do it 3 times for "bright" like some sort of magic lantern incantation. Don't get me started on how you induce the strobe, it is labour. While not as difficult as inducing actual labour, it is labourious. So I will never use strobe and suffer the rest, because none of it detracts, it is simply less than ideal. Functionally, this is a great light. Until they pack more in a smaller package, this is my everyday light. Update: I thought I lost it and bought another, a year later and still there is nothing as good out there, and it's been improved a bit (the clip seems to hold better).

Super lightweight Brightness is good considering the size of the device. Build quality is above average.
