Nylon bag version of the old domed metal lunch box
This is a largish lunch bag and it's very reminiscent of the old style Dad-does-construction metal lunch boxes. Anyone remember those? With the thermos in the top?) It's in a grey color so a guy could tote this along and not feel "girly." They still sell the metal lunch boxes (not corrugated like they used to be, but still made of metal Plain Metal Dome Lunch Box However this is the new millennium and we use Cordura nylon, not steel to carry things, and no one seems to use a Thermos anymore, either. The top has a compartment for things that don't require chilling, a side zip compartment with a mesh pocket (for plastic utensils, napkins, etc) and a central insulated compartment for foods that need to stay chilled. The bottom compartment is insulated but has no chill pack. So if you want to keep food longer or in a very warm environment, you would want to put in Lunch Ice Packs to keep foods colder. The white plastic liner inside the insulated section zips out, so you can wash it by hand separately from the bag, rather than wipe it out inside. This is handy because you'll have an easier time putting the white liner in the sink to sanitize it. Also, you could conceivably put those very thin ice packs tat come in plastic bags Reusable Ice Pack Sheets that are used for shipping, cutting the sheets to fit inside the zipped space between case and liner. The bag has a strap for shoulder carry.I knocked off a star because I think it should have cold packs included.

Decent Space and Lots of Pouches and Pockets
This is a black and gray masculine or basic appearing cooler lunch bag. The half dome top seems to be the best place to put things that don't need to be cold or that you don't want crushed. I put my ice pack in the main compartment but it can take away important space for your food and drink. It does not come with a cooler pack, you supply your own. The interior space is rectangle shaped. The shoulder strap is removable and optional to use. There is a zip pouch on the front that has two compartments, one has an interior zipper, it seems a good place to put utensils and napkins. There are two pouches on the end whose tops are elastic band only, that you could stick a drink bottle in although those would be room temperature unless your reusable bottle has ice in it or some feature to keep the drinks cold (i.e. Insulated bottle). The back panel has an open top and a slide in pouch (no zipper, no elastic) which could be for flat papers or napkins. This lunchbag is lightweight until you fill it with your ice pack and contents. To compare we own four other bags that are entirely lined inside with a freeze pack, you have to freeze that whole bag and that is heavy from the start. That different brand product has no shoulder strap and lacks all these other pouches. This is basic looking and is acceptable to my male teen. I actually have been using it to take lunch and snacks to my college classes. Rating 5 stars = Love It.

Very light weight for this capability
Great light weight lunch bag with insulation. Nice internal extra liner to keep the contents dry while allowing for ice packs. Lots of little compartments to keep foods separate and supported.

Stylish and functional way to bring your lunch!
The Yoots Cooler Lunch Bag is an update of the traditional lunchbox. Made with flexible polyester and foam, it is stylish enough for both the office and the playground. It has three compartments and multiple webbed pockets to store what you need, with the large center compartment being insulated. The liner of the center compartment zips in and out for replacement/cleaning, but it is a bit of a pain to get back in (and I have no idea how you'd order a replacement as there were no instructions in the box for that). There's a shoulder strap for those wanting to wear it over the shoulder, but the strap is removable (and I removed it).Interesting fact: you can fit two standard soda cans in the top compartment. If you do this, keep in mind that the very top of the bag is not insulated, so they warm up eventually. Still, since mine goes in the fridge at work, that's not an issue (though I do put the cans in an additional plastic bag to help with condensation).

Great size, lots of storage
Really nice lunch bag. It's so durable, very high quality. I love that it has so many compartments. I put extra cutlery in one of the pouches, since that's one thing so easy to forget. I was tired of improvising with miscellaneous office equipment... Really appreciate all that space. The inner zip lining of the main compartment comes right out, making it easy to clean. Just a handy little bag.
