These cables work fine and are a good price. However, be advised that they are not TIA/EIA 568-B standard. In the standard pins 1 & 2 are orange/white. These particular cables pins 1 & 2 are brown/white - They are wired backwards from the standard. HOWEVER, if you're using them as patch cables they will work perfectly and you will be very happy as the pins are the same on both ends. But if you need to shorten them for any reason you have to remember to attach the RJ45 backwards from what you would normally do.

Cables work well, and multiple colors help with identification. The connector boots, though, are terribly designed. They require an unusual amount of pressure to detach, and due to their high profile frequently can't be pressed hard enough when in an upper PCIe slot or similar vertically-restrictive space.Find another manufacturer with better boots if you ever expect to detach these cables.

These cables were the right size at the right price --- and getting different colors was just what I was looking for ... they work great
