This is a very practical way of solving the problem of packing the now almost obligatory helmet for the ski trip. Why lose a lot of space in your main pack when you can stow it with the boots? This bag has a separate side entry for the boots (much easier to use than my old ski boot bag) and a top loading access to the rest of this cavernous bag. The separate front pocket seems superflous, but suits the smaller items you may want to stuff in. Finally an open topped side pocket with small velcro fastener provides an extra stow space, but I wouldn't use this one for holding anything in the hold of an airplane for example.It has backpack like straps to enable an alternative to using the carry handle, but it is no rucksack and any knobbly boots packed in the bag are very obviously apparent, but for a quick sprint to catch that plane/train/bus it could be useful.Here's hoping it lasts as long as my previous boot bag (10+ years).

plenty of room for boots and helmet well made

this product sounded good but realistically it was actuallyt o big for its purpose. Its also a bad shape to carry as i found out carrying for another week after my ski trip. once the bag had ski boots some socks and miscellaneous in it it was a difficult shape to carry and the straps have begun to part at the seams after its first use. so i wouldnt reallly recommend it as its size and shape make it too difficult to transport eventhough its nice to think geting a bigger bag will be better

First, don't even think of buying this product if there is even a half chance you may want to return it. Brubaker only gave us a return address so the cost of return shipping would be at the purchaser's own expense and the lowest price we can find (for returning) is more than we paid for the bag!As for the bag itself: it looks to be robust and well-made but is over 1kg in weight and too big to be used as a "carry-on" item on a flight. We wanted a "boot and Helmet" bag which could be taken as carry-on baggage and knew what we wanted having bought another brand quite recently. On the website this bag looked very similar but is twice the weight and more than twice the volume -nearly 60 litres. Fully packed it would be uncomfortably heavy if used as a back pack. A ski equipment bag it may be; a boot and helmet bag it is not. If the specifications for size and weight had been available on the Amazon site we would never have considered this bag as an option.We have never had problems returning items purchased through Amazon in the past and are very disappointed to have been caught out in this "Catch-22" situation where returning the item will double what we have already spent. We will be very wary about buying through Amazon Marketplace in the future.
