Whilst some features are locked behind a subscription (disappointing when the initial outlay is pricey), there’s enough functionality to be good without the subscription. There’s a good range of different sunrises & sunsets to choose from, the light can be used on its own as a reading light or mood lighting. The sound quality is good enough for the standard alarms. Easy to use via the app. Waking up to a light room in the dark winter days really makes a difference to how I feel.

Im astounded that a device sold in the uk doesn’t come with a uk adapter!! How is it supposed to work. Surely a customer shouldn’t have to pay £185 for a clock then have to spend more money for an adapter.

A complicated one: it's nicely built and kind of does what I got if for, but it's very much focussed around selling you content. It is also very inflexible: if I just want to chill out in my room with ambient music & sounds unattached to any specific routine, I can, kind of, but it's much more difficult than it needs to be. And if course, you can't use it asa bluetooth speaker. And the menu system in the app is only semi intuitive,and very restricting (see my comments above). I'm glad I have it, but I think it is very overpriced, given the restrictions.

Not a UK plug

Didn't come with a UK adaptor so had to buy one which was irritating. I loved using this once I got it working as it got me up for 6am pilate classes, and helped me fall asleep to all my different routines. App is a bit weird to navigate but once you get used to it it feels so handy exploring all the different sounds, meditations and alarms. I loved it until it one day just stopped working.. it wouldn't connect with my new apartments wifi and I spent weeks trying to resolve the issue. Never to be used again, it felt like my money for the hatch and yearly subscription went down the drain! I was so upset as this was a huge investment I was so excited for. Had to reinvest in a much cheaper option which doesn't rely on wifi or an app to work (Dreamegg Sunrise 1). Fingers crossed!

Let’s be real: the Hatch Restore 2 is pricey. This sunrise alarm clock costs more than my first car (granted, that car didn’t start half the time, but still). That said, waking up to a gentle sunrise simulation instead of my soul-crushing phone alarm? Worth it. Pair that with the sound machine that makes it feel like I’m falling asleep in a tranquil forest instead of my apartment next to a screaming toddler? Chef’s kiss. Sure, it’s expensive. But if you’re tired of waking up like you’re being catapulted out of bed by an air raid siren, this little gadget might just be worth skipping a few takeout orders. Plus, every morning, it softly whispers: “You spent a small fortune on me—get up!” Motivational and overpriced. Classic.

I've seen many posts about the Hatch alarm and finally bit the bullet and bought one. I am very impressed by how simple the Hatch is, but extremely helpful in creating better sleep habits. I've used the Hatch for almost 3 weeks and I can say that my sleep has improved and I feel a lot better waking up in the morning. At night, I love using the wind down feature to relax in my bed without scrolling on my phone. Having the wind down feature is extremely helpful in being mindful of your night time routine so you're not stuck lying in bed on an endless scroll on your phone. The wind down feature makes me feel intentional as I am preparing for bed and find myself falling asleep quicker. I've never been one to use white noise to fall asleep, but I am knocking out within 10-15 minutes of just lying in my bed. I think using the wind down feature has really helped me create a better sleeping habit as I prepare for bed to get a full night's rest. I aim to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night, but sometimes I get caught scrolling through my phone so I appreciate the wind down feature to be more intentional about going to bed. I have been loving using the Hatch as an alarm clock rather than my phone. Although the phone is convenient to keep under your pillow, it can be quite loud and it's also very easy to just hit the snooze button over and over. I have been trying to be more intentional with having an early morning, especially now that it's summer and the days are warmer so I find that using the Hatch alarm has made it easier to wake up in the morning. My room is pretty bright in the morning as the sun hits it directly, but I still find that the light from the Hatch helps my body adjust before the alarm goes off. I've noticed that by the time I hear the Hatch alarm go off, I don't find myself waking up in a haze where I'm unsure what day or time it is. I like that there are plenty of options to choose as an alarm option. I personally love the "Harp Classics" sound and feel like I'm waking up in a spa. I feel with some people, they can get used to their alarm sound and end up ignoring it so I love the options to be able to switch it up. The app itself is very easy to use and play with. I love the customization for the lights/colors and enjoy all the options for sound features for wind down, sleeping, and waking up. I wish that if we were to click on the sounds in the app, it would preview it. Instead, I have to click on the sound, click preview, and then wait for it to play. I wish it was one less tap. Overall, I find that the Hatch is very simple to use and find that it has truly helped my sleeping habits and find waking up in the morning a lot easier. I love not having to rely on my phone for the time or as an alarm clock. Definitely will continue to recommend it to others who want to improve their sleep schedule and habits!

Very happy with it.

I was very sceptical at first because it seemed like a lot of money for an alarm clock, but I was quickly humbled. It is NOT just an alarm clock, it has so many amazing features that have seriously changed my morning and night routines. I love listening to white noise to fall asleep and used to just play it on my tv on YouTube but the ads would always wake me up in the middle of the night and affect my sleep. This device has many different options for white noise/ brown noise that will have you sleeping like a baby. I have always used my phone alarm to wake up and that would send me into a panic almost every morning with the startling loud sound. Now I get woken up with a beautiful “sunrise” and birds chirping. It changed my mornings, I used to wake up moody and tired and now I wake up feeling happy and refreshed. So do something nice for yourself and buy this device!! It’s seriously a game changer 100/10 would recommend!!
