Product Description Nurtured by Nature diapers take an innovative environmental approach while incorporating super premium diaper quality. Nurtured by Nature diapers respect your baby's skin, perform like a super premium diaper, and offer a competitive price. Like the highest quality premium brands, Nurtured by Nature offers a stretch waist, full-stretch side panels, premium absorbency (with a bio-based absorbent) and a design-printed backsheet. But the environmental impact of Nurtured by Nature diapers is very different from leading national brands. Approximately two-thirds of the materials used in the leading diaper brands are synthetic and are derived from non-renewable resources. The production of these materials consumes valuable petrochemical resources and in some cases creates adverse environmental impacts. Nurtured by Nature Diapers are designed to reduce the environmental footprint created by the production and consumption of disposable diapers. Unlike most diapers, the absorbent padding material in Nurtured by Nature diapers is totally Chlorine-Free. Dioxins and organochlorides are not released into the air or water. Nurtured by Nature diapers also use less synthetic gel material in the absorbent core by blending an innovative bio-based absorbent material with traditional absorbent gel material. Finally, the backsheet and topsheet of Nurtured by Nature diapers contain 50% plant-starch based Ingeo (TM) fiber, an annually renewable resource. (Formerly Natural Choice brand diapers) From the Manufacturer Nurtured by Nature Diapers For the first time, there's a natural diaper that respects your baby's skin, performs like a super premium diaper, offers a competitive price...and respects the environment all at once. Enlarge Stretch-Fit Side Panels The stretch wings offer a custom fit and added comfort for your baby. Enlarge Stretch Back Panel The soft, stretchable back panel creates a more snug fit to reduce leaks. Enlarge Leg Gathers Soft, flexible leg gathers help prevent leaks and offer the best possible fit for your baby.

These work great, have no chemical odors and don't leak!
I loved these diapers! (My toddler is potty trained now but we used these for about 2 years.) They work great, have no weird/odd chemical scent to them and don't leak. I think they are a great natural alternative to cloth diapers for those of us who don't wish to go that route but are trying to avoid chemicals. I tried Seventh Generation diapers prior to these and liked them at first until they started having an odd odor to them (when wet) and started leaking. These ones work way better and I highly recommend them! My only criticism is that they come in a box of 4 packs for an Amazon subscription and that was never enough until my next shipment came every month so I wish they came in a box of 5 packs because I always had to go to the store to buy a pack until my next shipment came.

The best disposable diaper available
These diapers perform excellently. They fit well around the legs and back. I have experienced no blow-outs from them, and even when they are SOAKING wet, they don't leak. My daughter seldom got diaper rash, either. As far as their non-toxicity, they are not chlorine bleached, nor are they dyed brown in an effort to "greenwash" (ahem, Seventh Generation). The best part is that they are unscented. Not only do I want to smell my baby, not some chemical perfume concoction, but the olfactory nerve (the one associated with the sense of smell) goes directly to the limbic system in the brain. It is really important that babies be able to smell their mommies. I love that these diapers don't interfere with that process. Moreover, unlike perfumed diapers, you can have a pack of these diapers in the room your baby sleeps in (my room, in my case), without fear of causing or exacerbating breathing problems.I would rate these diapers 5 stars if they only had NO gel, like the old Tushies, before they were bought out by Earth's Best. However, the gel is a corn-based , so that is an improvement over the petroleum-based gel of standard diapers. An added bonus: my daughter has always loved to look at the picture of the baby on the package. Babies love to look at other babies.

Potential allergic reactions
I have always been trying to be environmentally conscious when it comes to diapers, especially because babies go through so many of them during the day. The last brand we used has been leaking a lot, so I switched to these. These diapers give my baby a diaper rash that would not go away. My baby does have more sensitive skin. That makes these fragrance free and less chemical type of diapers a better choice, which is why it took me a long time to figure out what caused the rash. During the course of over the month that we were using these diapers, we have gone through 3 tubes of maximum strength Desitin. Her poor little bottom is constantly red. The rash went away when we tried a different brand of diaper.

These diapers really are great. We're very conscious of not using chemicals near our babies skin (right down to using cotton balls and water instead of wipes!) so for our first two kids we had used (and loved) Naty and Earth's Best. But for baby #3 we couldn't find Naty locally and they were quite expensive on Amazon. We tried Earth's Best but he surprisingly began to develop a rash when wearing them. We were looking for an alternative to Earth's Best and came across these, which I had never seen before but decided to give a try.*Crucially for us, as it says on the packaging, it contains no carcinogenic or toxic chemicals including bleach/chlorine, which can so easily enter through a new baby's skin and go directly into the blood stream. The parts of the diaper that come into contact with baby's wet skin are plant-based.*For me, being eco-friendly is a plus, especially if you use bio-degradable diaper bags for disposal.*The fit is great. When we're out and he needs changing, he never gets the saggy diaper look! :)*We have had hardly any day time leakages in almost 18 months of use - we had a few with Earth's Best.*We've had about 4-5 night time leakages (again, in 18 months). This is after a good 10-12 hour sleep.*The tabs are very robust. In 18 months we've had maybe a handful of diapers that had defective tabs.*They are fragrance-free.*The one con if I can call it that, is that they are a little bulkier than say Luvs, but only slightly. As a seasoned mom I don't carry big diaper change bags with me. I throw snacks/diapers/everything in my average-sized purse! And even for me the diaper size is negligible and is certainly outweighed by the pros! These are worth a try. I came to find out they are the same as the Comfort for Baby range at Kroger, but only cheaper if you do subscribe and save. Amazon Mom helps too if it's available in your area.
