These do the trick for small to mid-sized climbing plants, or plants that you regularly trim to keep them fuller and more compact. They flex to fit your space and hold their shape well. They're just coconut coir wrapped around a pole, so you could make one of these yourself (my roommate has before), but it likely won't hold its shape quite as well, and you'll need to use something flexible (these have an aluminum core) if you want to be able to bend like these. These aren't stackable like some moss poles but they are rather attractive, and with two in a pack, fairly good value.

I am very pleased with this 28-inch bendable moss pole. It is functional, versatile, and provides excellent support for my mostera. The natural moss blends beautifully with my plant and looks much nicer than the stick I was using for support. Pro: easy to use and tie to branches. Adjusts shape easily. Stayed in position. Con: I don't love the look. Works at holding up a branch of a rubber plant. I don't know what will happen when the soil is wet. Color is a light tan. Included twine to tie to pole.

I like the flexibility of this product, and it's rugged construction. My problem is the stake part is just a bit too long from the pot my Phildendren is in, leaving it leaning. It should be fine if I repot my plant into a deeper pot. Yes I would recommend this product, with it's aluminum stake which won't rot.
