Excellent practice for slide action and reloading, holstering. Lightweight yet durable
Feels lightweight, but at only $30 but you get what you pay for. I really like the handgun part, but don't really use the machine gun part, as it is a bit finicky. Seller resolved DOA first shipment very quickly, and over time the second unit has held up impressively, so I had to come back and update my review to 5 star. Not effective at all past what a weak nerf gun would shoot, but it's more fun to just play with it as a practice for reloading clips, cycling, ejecting mag, etc. Smooth mag eject is very nice, and the rail seems to fit standard picatinny size. Excellent toy.

Cool and Realistic HK-416
First off, this gun is amazing. The detail is insane and the shell ejection is really satisfying. Some things to look out for are loosing the bullets and shell casings. The gun is very realistic, but the range and accuracy aren't great. The bullets are smaller than normal Nerf or XShot darts, so they will not work with this gun. They will also drop very quickly, and you will need to aim high if you want to hit a long-distance target. Some really cool things about this gun thought are, the scope actually zooms in and out! I was very surprised to find this, and with the price, zoom-in scopes are rare! The gun itself based on the HK-416 rifle. I have had lots of fun messing around with some friends with this, and I would recommend buying!

Garbage
Total piece of trash. One of the flimsiest things I've ever seen. It constantly jams, if it works at all, which isn't often. The darts are way too small, and would be a serious risk to eyes. Definitely not for kids, or anyone. Sending it back. I wish I could give it zero stars

All the features in one gun. Fun.
We’ve had a lot of toy guns and this was by far the most fun. Not a replica gun but many replica features made it fun and adaptable to different situations.

Get the pistol-only version
This is a fun toy, I’m not sure it is worth paying full price but if you get it on a decent sale you’ll probably be happy with your buy. While the casings are completely hollow, the bullet is only meant to be loaded one direction; if loaded backward into the casing the bullet will not fire. This functions similar to a nerf gun that uses a puff of air to eject the projectile. The slide does not automatically cycle so after each shot the user has to rack the slide, either a spring loaded slide or battery-powered slide would have been a nice touch to this toy. This is a pistol that slides into the rifle housing. All the other attachments seem like overkill and dont feel like they are worth the cost over the stand-alone toy pistol. If this is a toy you’re considering, then stick with the less expensive pistol-only version and skip all these extra add-ons.

Realistic
Works well and the kids love it. Made very well. Really realistic so I painted the front of the pistol Orange to look more toy like.

Difficult to use
This toy is definitely for older children. The spring gets kinked frequently and is weak. The instructions are not very thorough. If I had no prior firearm knowledge, I don’t think that I would be able to put this gun together or troubleshoot it when it gets jammed. That being said; having the prior knowledge is the only reason we could get it working. It’s helpful in teaching my son how guns work. We are able to play with it a little bit, but it does get jammed fairly easy and requires clearing and reassembling often during play, which is frustrating. It is a fun when it works but overall I would not purchase again.

Fun little toy
I bought this as a gift for one of our friends’ children, and he loves it. It is easy to set up and use, and after about six months it is still working great. It is easy to load and shoot, and it is quite accurate. The actual projectiles are small, so I would not recommend this for households with younger children. I would also recommend wearing safety glasses, as the small, pointed pellets can be more painful than standard Nerf darts when hit.
